And don't forget that parking in gear is only OK on levelled ground.

As soon as there is an incline, your car might move...

I know because I once tried to just leave the car in gear on an incline driveway. Someone knocked at the door at night to let me know that my car was in the middle of the street...
People also forget to turn their wheels "into the curb" when parallel parking on a hill.

It's not great. About the same as stock. Strangely the Paragon P3's seem better. I love the aggressiveness of a good pad though. I'll be switching the rears to the P3 shortly. Got a scanner thingy so I can put the rear brakes in service mode.
I just got the scanner thing too. I need to order pads and just get it done

Just to update this thread, I ended up getting new rear pads and had rear rotors resurfaced at Acura $430 later (first week of December) and ever since then I only used the E Brake button a couple of times a week. I either leave the car in neutral on LEVEL ground or engage the shifter into 2nd gear to prevent from the car rolling on a slight incline.

As of last night when arriving into my single car garage at home at low speed I heard a screeching sound coming from the front brakes, and again this am on way into work. The sound went away yes, and I took it to Acura where a tech and S/A did a visual out front and seems to be fine. I did set an appt for Early ,Monday morning just to be sure. I am at 15400 miles roughly ... what is the contact info to that Honda Whole Sale dealer someone posted on here that advertised our tires for $204 each ? I just wanted to double check what front pads cost at whole sale pricing.

I think there is one big factor everyone is overlooking-brake vectoring. The car uses the rear brakes to help rotate around corners which leads to excessive wear in the rear (and also the superb handling everyone raves about). This is well documented on the R and has to be the same for the S.

Is brake vectoring turned off when VSA is disabled with the three-step process? I assume that it is, but this is the first I've heard of it.

It is.

If you're triggering brake vectoring enough to impact wear on the street there's an arrest coming your way for reckless driving.

Vectoring is not new tech. Many vehicles have been using it for decades. The only difference here is most other vehicles use vented rotors, but this platform doesn't. Even with vsa partially off i saw dramatic rear brake temp reduction (on track).
