What’s the best way to eliminate play in the shifter? When I got the car the shifter was nice and tight and didn’t have any side to side play while in gear. After teaching my wife to drive and a year of daily driving the shifter has a considerable amount of side to side play while in gear. Will cable link bushings help this?

Damn bro was that your idea or hers? Hey at least rev matching probably made that easier on the clutch.

Linkage and base bushings are a must.

Rev match made it so much easier for her to learn. Saved the clutch quite a bit. She caught on real quick. Took about two-three weeks for her to be smooth. We both wanted her to learn. Me so she could drive my car if there’s an emergency. She wanted to learn so she could go fast lol. She wants to get a salvaged title type r now and fix it up.
I’ll have to shop around linkage bushings and base bushings. I was looking at Acuity bushings.
