Sounds like the disable switch is a must if you lose control of the mirrors during reverse.

Overall, yes. Even though I've only used it a handful of times since installing, I find that the peace of mind it gives me about not worrying about curbing my wheels when parallel parking is far greater than the amount of effort it took to do this. My previous car had the feature so I guess I got spoiled with it.

I absolutely agree, the disable switch is a must. It drove me crazy not being able to disable it until I came up with this solution. Although if I were to do it again, I'd probably want to figure out a way to tie into the R position on the mirror switch to keep it as close to OEM as possible.
