Speaker rattle

The sound system in this car is actually pretty good but if you play some volume on them they all rattle like crazy.

is there a fix to this? To me it seems like the door panels are very cheap plastic and move around too much when music is playing.

In which case I have to ask, who thought that was a good idea?

Most newer cars in the price range as Integra are cheaply made. I took a look at a few 2023 Integra vehicles and as you say, the door panels and other material is just not worth Acura name. I also have 2010 Acura RL which was assembled in Japan and body panels, door panel and other materials are much much better and heavier than Integra.

Yeah :/ my passenger a pillar speaker grill actually separated itself from the plastic pillar cover itself at this point; not sure if from road bumps and or loud tunes. The sound system is great but from time to time, rattling increases or decreases. One of my goals this fall when the weather breaks is to go from door to door doing sound deadening and also re-buttoning everything down; dash and center console included. Until then, waiting on a nice intake to tide me over noise-wise lol

I blew out my subwoofer in the first few months of ownership. It caused the piped in exhaust sound to distort badly! I got the dealer to replace it, and now I am careful to keep the volume down under 20.

Hey! Anyone heard a passenger door lower speaker make a noise as if something out of plastic is loose when bass is playing?

Usually in the teens...But, I like to drive on the highway with the windows down, and when a favorite song comes on, yeah I crank it.

My takeaway is that while the audio quality is excellent, the drivers are weak, and don't support loud music.

Life is full of compromises and the integra is no exception!

Ah word to that. Are the speakers warrantied against blowing out or giving out?

I don't think it's warranteed, but I was pretty persistent and got a replacement. The dealer wouldn't agree that there was anything wrong with the speaker, it passed their testing. I dealt with the service manager, when I finally got to him, and he was prepared to do what it takes to satisfy the customer, within reason.

Speaker blowouts\failure will always be covered under bumper to bumper (unless of course you modify the audio system in any way)
