Trunk Frozen and Won’t Open

My trunk won’t open. Anyone experiencing this? It feels like the button won’t depress. When it warmed up it opened but next morning it’s back to frozen.

Yes, same thing for me. I'm using the remote to open it

Edit: I thought pressing the trunk button releases the latch, but it is not, it was a coincidence that it worked. Today I managed to open the trunk by holding my fingers on the button for about 5min while the heat transferred to it.

Mine occasionally does this. I press the button twice and make sure the fob is close.
This works usually....

Interesting, I’m using the remote as well, assuming you mean the key. It makes a little noise as if it’s trying to unlock but the latch won’t move.
I’m hoping it can warm up so any liquid will evaporate but it’s looking like below freezing for the next week!

I edited my first response, I held my fingers on the button for 5min and it worked

Some have had issues with water getting into the switch. I believe they had the dealer replace it under warranty.

For something like this should it definitely be covered under warranty? I had nothing to do with this obviously. I’m just worried when I bring it in it’s going to be warm and then not show any problems.

I just wished we had a trunk and e brake cable. My friends will stand at the trunk expecting me to pop it and I have to open the door and tell them to push the button.
