Maybe he’s not speaking clearly I hear “1500”He says "50-100" which lines up with what I have heard elsewhere.
It's definitely not clear but I hear "fifty, a hundred cars".Maybe he’s not speaking clearly I hear “1500”
I have a build date of March ‘24 and my vin ends in 29xx. That’s already nearly 3000 cars within a few months of them even being available. If 1500 per color were true there would be at least 10k 24MY.
Mine is 0058 and Apex Blue. We should all register with Vinwiki.
That would sound about rightIs it possible that the 1500 number would include a run with base and aspec in the same color.
Yeah but they only made 3983 Type-S for all of model year 2024. And keep in mind model year 24 production was long since it was the intro year, running from mid-2023 through summer 2024. So that's about 14 months of production to make 3983 cars. Averaged out, that would be ballpark 285 per month.I have a build date of March ‘24 and my vin ends in 29xx. I can agree to that. All things considered we are speculating and guessing. Without official numbers from Honda/acura this conversation is just anecdotal.Yeah but they only made 3983 Type-S for all of model year 2024. I just don't see the math supporting 1500 cars of a single color in a batch no matter how you cook the numbers. I honestly doubt they made 1500 ITS of any single color in model year 2024.
That is a possibility, but in the Savagegeese video they mention that they build a batch of Type-S cars and then the line transitions to "reguler" Integras, TLX, etc. And I have heard that described elsewhere too. The way they gain their production efficiency on that type of mixed production line is to have batches pass through as uniform as possible. The Type-S has unique body/chassis mods compared to the base/A-spec cars that make it different enough to justify the strategy. Is it possible that the 1500 number would include a run with base and aspec in the same color.
I hear you, but another data point, I have a build date of 3/24, and my vin ends in 2941. how do you explain this then? if they were 50-100 cars per run, by 3/24, they should have had less than 1500 produced, yet my vin is close to 3000. I think you all really want this car to be low prod and limited, but u have to remember, these fools are not trying to suspend production of other models, simply to pump out 50 of these and then restart the production line for the other models/integra trims. again, without offical numbers from honda/acura, we won't really know for sure.Yeah but they only made 3983 Type-S for all of model year 2024. is that 3983 an offical number? please show me the article from honda/acura that has this information.Yeah but they only made 3983 Type-S for all of model year 2024. It's 50-100 of a single color per batch. I think MY24 had 7 colors, correct?I hear you, but another data point, I have a build date of 3/24, and my vin ends in 2941. how do you explain this then? if they were 50-100 cars per run, by 3/24, they should have had less than 1500 produced, yet my vin is close to 3000.
