Maybe he’s not speaking clearly I hear “1500”
It's definitely not clear but I hear "fifty, a hundred cars".

We can sanity check it to know 1500 isn't realistic for a color batch, since they are only at ~1470 for the entire 2025 model run so far, and that includes all six colors (I've seen them all on lots).

I am most familiar with Apex Blue Pearl since that is what I bought, and that seems to have gotten at least three batches so far in 2024, mid #500 range (Sept prod.), #900 range (Oct prod.), and mid #1300 range (Nov prod.). There was possibly an earlier ABP batch but I didn't come across them.

If 1500 per color were true there would be at least 10k 24MY.
Mine is 0058 and Apex Blue. We should all register with Vinwiki.

I have a build date of March ‘24 and my vin ends in 29xx. That’s already nearly 3000 cars within a few months of them even being available.

Is it possible that the 1500 number would include a run with base and aspec in the same color.

Yeah but they only made 3983 Type-S for all of model year 2024. And keep in mind model year 24 production was long since it was the intro year, running from mid-2023 through summer 2024. So that's about 14 months of production to make 3983 cars. Averaged out, that would be ballpark 285 per month.

I just don't see the math supporting 1500 cars of a single color in a batch no matter how you cook the numbers. I honestly doubt they made 1500 ITS of any single color in model year 2024.

I can agree to that. All things considered we are speculating and guessing. Without official numbers from Honda/acura this conversation is just anecdotal.

That is a possibility, but in the Savagegeese video they mention that they build a batch of Type-S cars and then the line transitions to "reguler" Integras, TLX, etc. And I have heard that described elsewhere too. The way they gain their production efficiency on that type of mixed production line is to have batches pass through as uniform as possible. The Type-S has unique body/chassis mods compared to the base/A-spec cars that make it different enough to justify the strategy.

The Savagegeese video did show a production run of white Type-S cars coming through the factory and there had to be at least 20 in either direction up/down the line and staged in the final QA area. We don't know the timescale of the different scenes in the video but it definitely supports a 50-100 sized batch of white ITS units.

Oddly, I have seen BMW production videos and they have a total salad mix of models and colors coming down the line. That could mean that the batching happens upstream before vehicles come together, but it seems like BMW is using a different production model with more flexibility but less efficiency of scale. That would have to make it more complicated for the workers to keep track of what vehicle they are working on at each step.

I hear you, but another data point, I have a build date of 3/24, and my vin ends in 2941. how do you explain this then? if they were 50-100 cars per run, by 3/24, they should have had less than 1500 produced, yet my vin is close to 3000. I think you all really want this car to be low prod and limited, but u have to remember, these fools are not trying to suspend production of other models, simply to pump out 50 of these and then restart the production line for the other models/integra trims. again, without offical numbers from honda/acura, we won't really know for sure.

It's 50-100 of a single color per batch. I think MY24 had 7 colors, correct?

I don't think it has anything to do with exclusivity. They likely do it in proportion to the overall model sales and follow some average pace based on demand, supply on dealer lots, etc. The regular Integras outsell the Type-S by about 10:1 if I remember right. So they may do those in larger batches or more frequent batches.
