baby stepsHuge progress was made today!
I opened the packaging the wot hood struts shipped in. Looked in the box. Sucked my teeth. And put the box on my tool box. Then I walked away
we getting there!
The upload process is luckily pretty simple with a laptop. I can't speak to whether or not Phearable loaded the cal onto the flashpro already, but there are a few good videos on YouTube showing how to enable basemap options or flashing new tunes. This one was pretty helpful for me when I was going through the process. One thing you should be mindful of is your battery since you don't want to lose the connection to the ECU while it's flashing, otherwise you will brick your ECU. Either go for a decent drive and make sure your battery is charged up, or connect it to a trickle charger (safer) while you're flashing.Just order Hondata and Phearable tune. So excited. Question.. is the Phearable stage 2 file going to be included or built into Hondata or do I have to upload a separate file to use it? If so whats is the process to upload the Phearable file?
It is functional, yes. Anything you can do to seal those areas will encourage more air through the cooling stack. That makes it both more aero functional and more cooling functional. Sealing the bumper to the intercooler and cooling channeling is worth a ton for both aero and cooling. Often it can result in a 10F coolant temp difference. 20F+ easy on poorly designed front ends.Apr cooling plates question
any proof its functional? Will there ever be an option from Apr or a competitor thatβll make it out of something that isnβt carbon fiber?
Thnx for the info. I emailed Apr demanding something that isnβt cfIt is functional, yes. Anything you can do to seal those areas will encourage more air through the cooling stack. You wanna know how racecars solve these problems? Duct tape and silicone gaskets.
I guess you could get crafty and get carbon look duct tape or the car color matched stuff (is that company still in business even?), but racing tape is preferred since it's semi permanent. If you want it really fancy, just buy some aluminum or abs sheet, cut to shape, paint or anodize, and stick down with 3m foam.
I doubt they'll entertain that, lol.Thnx for the info. I emailed Apr demanding something that isnβt cf
My wot hood struts have been sitting. Uninstalled. For like 10 months.I doubt they'll entertain that, lol.
But honestly, some abs and tin snips will get you to a product that looks purchased.
Yeah Comfort mode is a bit bouncy but the sport modes are worth it...Finally installed my DSC Sport module last week and got a chance to drive it. I was slightly disappointed in DSC Comfort mode because it felt almost exactly the same to me as regular Comfort mode. It might be slightly worse for me because I was feeling a little motion sickness from the DSC Comfort mode so when I have time, I might have to tweak it. Anyone looking to make the ITS softer, I think stock Comfort mode is as soft as it gets.
On the other hand, the DSC Sport and DSC Sport+ mode are fantastic. I almost never use Sport+ mode when I drive regularly (I live in NYC) but the DSC Sport+ was totally usable on imperfect roads. It makes the car both softer and more responsive. It was magical. I do want to give it some more (virtual) rear swaybar but otherwise, I was really impressed. The suspension feels Porsche-like which is the highest complement I can give it.
Pics from last weeks drive.
