What is up with my USB port?

So, I owned a 2019 RDX ASpec and made thumb drives with my FLAC files. I buy the Integra and my drives don’t work….so, I made one from scratch and it worked amazingly well (it couldn’t read the 5.1 files, but OK, the rest of the FLAC was good.

Yesterday my drive stopped being read by the infotainment system. What the…..? Any thoughts?

Did you leave the drive in the car all the time? I did this in my Fit and found out that the cold/heat in the car is not good for the drive. Now I take my drive with me when I leave the car (drive is on my key chain).

No, I remove it and insert it each time I want to use it. I mostly do AppleCarPlay but that format doesn’t allow for the awesome FLAC files and sound separation.

I tried 32GB USB thumb drive once which was formatted as FAT32. It contained a few folders with .flac files. It worked that time.

I have a 128GB key in there all the time loaded with my FLAC library, including some hi-res (stereo only though.) It's one of my favourite features.

I think we have the 10” screen. I just tried it and no go for me…..back to the drawing board. Oh, our icons are totally different too. No little boxes

I did the reset and no change. What is weird is that the USB drive worked every day for a month and then just stops working and is unrecognizable.

Is your drive working fine on a computer? If the drive is also not recognizable on the computer, your drive might be shot.

This is what I love about these forums. Sometimes I need to go back to basics. Yes, that is the issue. I tried another drive that didn’t work the first time I tried it and it is working fine.

Glad it helped! When i left my drives in the car all the time, I came across this many times: drive would work, then not, then work again, then one day die completely. This is why I stopped leaving the drive in the car all the time.

I ordered one with a keychain attached to remind me….and we are not even in our warm season in Phoenix now….good advice.
