I have two Nexar Beam cameras; one front and one rear facing. They're amazing.

You absolutely need a good dash cam. About an hour ago I had someone in a beat up mercedes try to reverse into me on purpose. I put my car in reverse and he even followed me all the way around a corner at least 500 feet then gave up. I am getting my cam installed this week.
