Got it added! I'm starting with SavageGeese, and I can say ~5 minutes in that these guys (the SavageGeese guys, that is) have raised the bar. This review is next level.

In summary: These guys found the Type-S is as fast/faster than the Type-R, and said it is as good/better in 90% of driving scenarios. In choosing between the Type-S or Type-R, they suggested it would depend on cost and availability... so if you can get the Type-S, do it. They did the peddle dance to deactivate stability control (easier to do in the Type-R) and their on-track testing looked like a LOT of fun.

Personally (especially) looking forward to the reviews from: Throttle House, TheTopher, Savagegeese, Tedward, Everyday Driver.

Bummer that the British/Europeans won’t be reviewing this car as I’m quite fond of a few of their channels.

Kirk Kreifels gives a surprising amount of talk-less driving--so if you're looking to ride along and listen to the exhaust, great review for that.

In summary: Kirk says Florida doesn't offer roads (smooth/twisty/fun) worth the extra money to get a Type-S over his A-Spec + Tech (I thought he had a Si, but perhaps I was mistaken). He says he can get 90% of the same enjoyment for less money. Take it for what it's worth.

The Smoking Tire: Acura wants us to believe that this is a totally different car from the Type-R, which is absolutely ridiculous. If you live somewhere with great roads, or not-so-great roads, this is a great car. "I want one like... yesterday." The only downside is the price, but this gives you "everything... I can't think of anything missing from this car." "I don't know if I've ever driven a car that's absolutely perfect in every way... certainly not for under $100,000... this is about as close as it gets. If I sat in a room with Acura right now and they asked, 'What can we improve about this car?', I don't know what I'd say."

Obviously, they were very enthused.

Redline Reviews: "It sounds as good as an Elantra N", but has more sound deadening on the inside. The engine has more mid-range than the Type-R, which gives it a more effortless feel. Also, the +5hp over the Type-R is NOT from the exhaust, it's attributable to an engine tune. "It feels sporty and special."

Smoking tire generally has pretty good driving dynamics takes in my opinion. It was a glowing review, but seems accurate now that I've driven it! But I may be biased...

Have the Throttle House guys said anything about when they'll do their review of the Type S?

If you're looking for a very objective review, Alex on Autos delivered--he goes deep into why this is a Type-S rather than a Type-R, and he said it's a "hoot and a half to drive", and "hands down the best option in this segment."... providing you're willing to row your own gears. Long live the manuals.

Haven’t seen them talk about it recently, but I could’ve sworn they mentioned somewhere about delaying their video until they can get a few of the same-segment competitors together for a comparo.

I've watched about half of them and will hit more as time allows. Also looking forward to Everyday Driver as their stuff is always well done.

Media from SavageGeese is always top notch. TST is also always credible specifically with driving dynamics.

Nothing but respect to Leno, but that was less of a review and more of an advertising piece for Acura imo.

Only made it half through the Raiti's one. That is unwatchable, imo. Dude reminds me of a shady, blathering used car salesman talking to an eleven year old. Makes DeMuro sound like an engineering professor.

Also, they are all taken with a grain of salt, because regardless of what objectivity they all profess, no one is ever going to straight up hate on a car when they count on either going to these events or being given a steady stream press cars to directly support their livelihood.

I've watched multiple videos and one common theme is the big smiles and laughing as the drivers carve the Ojai canyons in the ITS! Can't wait to experience that! Still no word on the arrival of my Apex Blue ITS. 🙏Santa Barbara Acura is a small dealer and taking their sweet time setting up the ITS demo. I've looked at it, sat in it and started it. Looking forward to a drive maybe later this week!

Throttle House pretty much did exactly that with their G87 M2 review.

I kind of feel like that may have had something to do with why we don't see their review posted yet. Demuro's video posted a day late but it is interesting that TH seems to have been iced out by Acura.

That said, I've always relied on Savagegeese to give unbiased reviews, and now after driving the car I can't really reconcile that the rave reviews were influenced by the press event. It's a genuinely good car with no obvious flaws once you get behind the wheel.

I... have to agree with the Raiti review. I paid close attention to his channel leading up to the press release because he seemed to be the only one providing any content for the ITS at all... but I couldn't make it through a minute of his actual review. Seems like a nice guy. Just not my speed.
