How is the driving with the new intercooler? Also, any check engine lights? I went to a shop that does mods for Hondas and they also said that the full benefit of the after market intercooler will not be reached unless you tune it. So I am wondering if it is worth doing it now vs. when the tuning is available.
A bigger intercooler, in theory, should allow your engine to produce peak horsepower for a longer time too. Heat will not reduce power as the stock unit after a few passes your engine will produce less power due to overheating.

A bigger intercooler will do practically nothing for a stock engine, unless of course you’re tracking it and consistently into boost and the resulting heat soak drives your IAT up (or stuck in city traffic, any heat soak condition). When that happens, the ECU will retard timing to save the engine.
Tuning is fun, and I’ve had good results using AEM wideband.

Oh.. ohh
She fits. Need the new box. One issue is the armrest bracket doesn't fully bolt up. Also the rubber cover on bottom of bin is a different size you can trim that access and make it work but the outside perimeter is slightly different. I will upload more of finished install

I honestly don't know if that's worth all the work, I may end up skipping the vents and putting my own USBs lol.

All installed. Trimmed a few clips on the side, compare to the OG for reference. Also the tabs that snap need to trim the sides so they fit in the slots

Im looking forward to hearing how the Acuity helps. That's one of the first things I want to do after the other stuff comes in. Anything to help the shifting itself smoother.

MDX K&N installed. Maybe a super minor increase in sound. If you have the radio off...you *might* be able to hear a little whoosh...

Not bad for $65.

This is a 2 part ordeal:

What I did today was finally drive backroads to our vet to pick up the dogs meds & a couple other errands on my lunch break. Holy crap - it's incredibly fun & nimble. 70-80 into turns while still keeping it around 4k rpm's max & it was just easy going. Looking forward to pushing the limits with the G meter.

The other part is a question for those that have had their car longer than me. I signed the papers with 9 miles. Handed them a typed up paper with my accessories & demands πŸ˜† & at pickup there was now a full tank & 13 miles & I'm pissed about that. My question however, is regarding the notchiness/clicking of the synchro's in the shifting as you work through the gears. Is that a normal characteristic of this car? I feel like they may have ripped it on their fuel up on the "test drive route" for customers. Going to go back to it to see if it clocks at 4 miles, although they could've taken it anywhere really. I will drive their demo again to compare, but that may not also be the best standard to go by. I'm wondering what I want to ask the manager for concerning this. Personally, I don't think it's out of the question to give me a free warranty of some sort - mainly regarding the transmission component of the power train.

Thoughts?
The transmission gets smoother with use. I've got about 1600 on mine now, and the transmission feels a lot better than it did new -- still plenty of gate feedback, but it isn't nearly as "crunchy", if that makes sense, and it's really easy to flick it into gear now.

Still keeping an eye open for the Acuity rocker arm (hopefully they release it soon). I'd prefer a shorter throw.

My car had 5 miles on the paper and 21 when I got it. I was told the tech may have taken a "slightly longer drive" while checking to make sure everything worked as expected. ...yeah -- wasn't happy.

Yes, that makes perfect sense & thanks for the info! I'm looking for the same feel. Shorter throw, more cush. Glad to hear it "breaks in" a bit more.

Some of these techs man...or other personnel that blame it on the techs...enough to deserve a swift kick to the nuts.
