Yeah, I can't remember where I saw it but I'm pretty sure Spec C who posts here and on CivicXI bought the car, supposedly at $56k. So the bid failed but the car still sold above perceived market value... so the real lesson here is don't try to sell your car on carsandbids?

To be expected. Owner later claimed the auction created excitement and he later sold it for 56k. But who really knows.

The buyer and seller are in the ITS FB group. Buyer said there's no sales tax in his state on private party auto sales and it's less than paying markup. Buyer and seller are happy but we all know how angry people get if someone flips a car for profit. With tax, gas, insurance, etc he would have broken even at best.

Yup. I mean I paid 56k otd essentially. It’s less than msrp + tax, on a car I can have right now locally.

I’m good with it. Seller was a good guy.

I talked to dealers all over and most dealers at msrp with cars on the lot have a ton of add ons. I found another car at msrp at a dealer out of state but tax put me over this car plus shipping

Personally, private party sales are a hassle. I imagine that the owner has a loan on the car and the buyer would have to obtain a private loan. Reseller is probably sweating because he still has to make monthly payments to Honda.
Was really easy. Pay seller $, he paid off loan , I took the car. Took 10 min. 100x quicker than a dealer. Lol

Just had it ppf’d, paint corrected and coated. Looks amazing 🙌
