I was told a year and a half possible wait. Got some help and a person backed out so I jumped on it. I was irked with the possibility of waiting so long but was fully prepared to wait 2 years. ITS was the ONLY car I wanted.

For me it was go for exactly what I want or nothing at all. Ok well, a Toyota sienna mini-van was in discussion with the wifey for family car however lol

Congrats,,yeah i was a bit shocked with a year wait time but i was already told. I really didnt consider this to be a (rare) car. I know it's definitely in demand, just kinda figured they would be stamping these out weekly on the line.

Iam not going to budge either on build specs. They didn't say directly that they can't order a specific one but certainly eluded to they get what they get. If they can't get it to me by spring I might ask for a refund idk, will see how i feel when the time comes.

Showing up after winter would work best anyway, dont feel like throwing snow tires on it the day i pick it up. Besides that my winter beater has remote start coupled with a fresh set of snow/rain tires on it. I should get some use out of them.

I canā€™t say for certain what the actual production numbers are. Acura was aiming for 10% of total integras made yearly. So that would mean 3,600 ITS a year or 300 units a month. Considering there are 274 dealerships and 51 in Canada, that would mean each dealership gets 11 type S a year. Youā€™re 16th on the list so a year wait seems like it lines up.

In contrast the civic Type R, thereā€™s been ~2700 units made to date for North America. Thereā€™s 1000 dealerships so each has only gotten 2.6 CTRā€™s this year.

I agree, stick with your price, no reason to pay ADM no matter what. With any luck maybe some ahead of you will back out or wait on their color preference.

I agree with sticking to MSRP. I would think being pickiest with color combo on the exterior color with the most interior color options will only make your wait longer. Nothing wrong with having a specific preference just something to be aware of.

Use this for reference. Presumably the next batch of white/ebony after November would be Jan/Feb then three month cycles after.

I cant believe we are still waiting on allocations. Without deliveries, honda/acura aren't making money. Hope you get your car soon!

Allocations are not equally distributed throughout the dealership network, not for the FL5 anyway.

Youā€™re exactly right, some in California have gotten more ITS and CTR allocations thĆ¢n others. Not sure how they decide this but youā€™re on point

Only speculation but I would think it might have to do with how much volume a particular dealer moves

That has a huge impact on how many allocations a dealer receives, 100% correct.

I'm customer #31 at a high volume dealer in the NE and they're expecting roughly 2 a month for the 2024 year. I'll probably get my allocation sometime in 2025. I'm ok with waiting. I just...don't want to wait.

Oof #31 is quite steep, did you look at other dealership lists?

I do have one other local dealer that isn't charging ADM. I plan to get in their list as well.

I really should have been in lists much earlier but I kept teetering between car choices...early bird gets the worm and whatnot.

Keep in mind just because you're whatever number does not mean every person in front of you is going to buy when the time comes. When a car becomes available the dealer calls whoever on the list and there's a myriad of reasons why people pass on it. They bought something else, was a fit at time of deposit but not anymore, can't secure financing, when it's actually time to buy they're not ready, list goes on and on. Don't let it discourage you. Regardless of car if you're committed stick it out.
