Hi,

Based on Acura installation instructions, one should remove the front bumper to install "Front Black A Emblem". Installing illuminated A emblem is more complex because of wires and it makes sense to remove the bumper.

Any idea if "Front Black A Emblem" can be installed without removing the front bumper? Maybe there is a trick to remove old and install the new "2 SELF-TAPPING SCREWS"?

To do it correctly, you need to drop the bumper was the consensus I found on the rest of the forums. I am sure if you were really determined you could cut/break off the old emblem and glue on the new one. But it would probably take less time just to take the bumper off and do it right. Or pay the dealer, from the few prices I saw, I thought the cost was pretty reasonable.

I agree with @ZeroGSR, as I tried to get really creative with how to access the front logo on my A-Spec + Tech, but it’s pretty well locked down.

Thanks, I had this exact same question. I'm almost more concerned about having the whole bumper assembly taken apart on a brand new car just to change a badge than I am about paying the dealer to do it.

I didn't take a very close look when at the dealer buts nice to hear from someone who has the car. I was thinking there might be access from the engine bay after removing some shrouding but I suspect whatever is there still has you too far back to get a hand in there to access the back of the badge.

nice find … I think I’ll do this on my silver car. Was happy with it initially but starting to think black looks better ..

The black emblems look great--if you're already removing the bumper once, might as well consider the illuminated front emblem. You're already in the area, after all, and it's not a hard install.

Thanks for the info. I did the job myself and it looks great. It saved me $200 quote from the Dealer to install it.

Does anyone know if the "A" on the rear truck has screws on it as well?

It does not have any screws. I supplied a new set to my PPF installer to replace when he filmed the car.
