Gas tank size

So I could swear that on a full tank I've gotten to 310 and for sure minimum 275 but today I filled up and it was 254. Has anyone else had this problem and what does everyone else get on full tank

it’s a small tank for sure. Most every tank I have had is about 250-260 miles with 50/50 mixed driving. Haven’t gotten to take it on a long road trip so I can’t say what my max is.

There is a slight difference in mileage if you switch to comfort from what I experienced and a pretty big difference if you rev it and squeeze the accelerator more (215 miles range vs. 260).

Yeah I average like 22.5 mpg which is fine I just thought tank was bigger . I do individual mode pretty much everything sport + except for suspension

Small tank. low fuel light comes on at around 3 gallons left. Range varies based on the drive. I had 2 bars left and ripped it 1st through 3rd and the low light came on at about 220miles.

Lol. 22 mpg at 10 gallons is 220miles. Tank is only 12 gallons.

I'm averaging 24mpg but my low fuel light came on at 220.

Maybe I'm confused 220 miles low fuel light comes on ? Mine doesn't come on until 41 miles give or take . I let it run until about 20 miles and then I fill up . Here in Cali we only have 91 so I put about $45-$50 to fill up

Could it be learning your actual average MPG driving habit and therefore estimating based on that now?

have it reset after filling up. should be getting a real time read out for the current tank.

It doesn’t give current MPG, it is just average MPG since you last had it reset. Since most Type S’s are still low miles, it’s the average MPG since it was received from the dealer, unless you reset it. Like @nawfoo said, you would have to reset after every fill up to get current fuel tank average MPG

There's a setting you can enable to have the car auto-reset it every time you fill up.

The car quoted MPG are also a bit off. Mine always reads high compared to a hand calculation when I fill up my car.

I take 15-30 seconds to fill out a spreadsheet when I get gas before resetting the trip computer. Also, the trip computer when you reset keeps track of the last few tanks (assuming you reset trip A on refill).

Helps me understand the empty light info, driving habit trends, any drift as the engine ages, and how awful the trip computer is (~1 mpg high like my 9th gen Civic).
