Definitely get it now. If anything changes in the world and supply gets tighter again, you may struggle to get one at MSRP, or get one at all. If you’ve got the option of like four different cars, get it and enjoy yourself.

I have never seen a red one in person. They seem super rare.

I think it's possible that some minor updates are made. The FL5 didn't have any but the FK8 often had random year over year updates with features. Like they added a volume knob, added Honda Sensing , added new colors, new brake disks, etc. A 3k price increase would be nuts honestly. I know it's not a direct comparison at all, but Tesla just released the Model 3 Performance at like 53K (like 46k after tax credits) and that thing has 510hp and AWD. 56K for the ITS is getting prohibitive.
Tesla is not a good comparison. They've been slashing prices because of all sorts of reasons, not the least of which is to appease the board because it simulates the idea of "growth".

Also they're pieces of shit and I hate them.

I do not think they will do any changes on the 2025 Model as Honda/Acura refreshes are usually done on year 4.

I was originally told by my dealer in Toronto that I would most likely be getting a 2025 in June but called me recently and said It would be a 2024 now.

Good Luck with your decision.

There is an opportunity cost as well. I was in no rush, thought I would have to order to get what I want and we found the ITS when shopping.

At that point one asks themself: Self, what is going to change getting it now vs, next year?

If the answer is nothing really, then you missed out on 1 year of driving the ITS.

Whether that is a positive or a negative, its up to you.

For me, it seemed silly to wait if its what I wanted. My 202K car wasn't going to net much more or less money now vs. 1 year from now either :D

Let’s look at reason not to buy it.
-wrong color combos..
-Front bumper drillled for plate
-Been used for demo with a bunch miles
Only reasons outside of financial ones to not get the car, Life’s too short to live by “what if’s”.

Dealers still open to get the car could be driving it already.

You're not getting Homelink. Honda wants you to pay for a subscription. This has been discussed multiple times on the forum. You can buy an OEM mirror and retrofit.

Also you mention wanting memory seats but then say you don't need them? Sounds like trolling.

If you're concerned about decontenting then a Civic Type-R touring edition is not the car for you. Buy a luxury car.
wow looks like i found the forum grump... not trolling and never stated i wanted memory seats. i as just giving examples of possible updates in the pipeline. i also figured that would help resale down the line.

thanks for your "help".

So what color did ya get?! Can’t be buying cars overly concerned about resale. Besides you’re most likely gonna keep it for the rest of your life 😜. My 5 year old will be driving mine to highschool 🤪.

Going Monday. LCM got sold. They have LSM PRP and black. I’m debating between silver and red, but need to see in person. Both have black interior
