Anyone having issues with carbon fiber exterior oem

Hi, is anyone else having issues with the carbon fiber oem spoiler or mirror caps deteriorating. Mine are loosing the gloss like peeling. Looks like burnt. Is getting worse everyday

Same thing happened to me. They replaced it under warranty and then I had it ppf

I'm sorry to see this, I didn't opt for or like any of the carbon fiber covers.
But I never thought they would have this problem after such a short time, as expensive as they were, I hope that they offer you replacements or a refund for the parts you bought.

I don't see any issues with CF spoiler which I have had for about 9 months now.
Although I did coat my spoiler in Adams graphene ceramic coating when I did the car.

Yep, $969 requires drilling holes in deck lid and metal shavings in cargo area. Mirror caps still seem ok. How long is the warranty on dealer installed accessories ?

Warranty should be the same as the bumper to bumper warranty.

It looks like Acura cheaped out and didn't get enough UV protection on the carbon bits...its a known issue with unpainted carbon fiber and uv rays......Good luck getting it sorted OP...

It's a known issue. I put a system X ceramic coating on it and it's been perfectly fine but I also replaced the spoiler.

I called my local Acura dealer in Valley stream NY regarding the issue , spoke to the manager directly who gave me a issue over the phone. Now I contacted Acura client relations and have them meeting me at that dealership to look at it next week. This should definitely be under warranty. Mine started having the issue at only 300 miles .

5 day stretch of no rain in the forecast so I ran the car through the touchless car wash. Dammit while applying ceramic spray wax I noticed this defect on the driver mirror.

Looks like an unscheduled trip to the dealer.

So I called the dealership on July 29th explained to service writer what was happening. He said he would need to see the damage in person as he couldn’t tell from the pictures I sent. Drove out to the dealership he took a look and said he would order the parts and get back to me. I called yesterday since it had been almost a month and was told we needed to coordinate with an Acura Regional Rep because these are accessories. He will get back to me ?

Meanwhile the mirror cap seems to be getting worse.
