Excellent explanation!
Thanks! I'm glad it's helpful 😁.

Here's a photo with 29/27psi to equate to the factory 35/33. Granted it's a 9.5 rim and they're "performance" winters with stiffer sidewalls, but there's not a lot of sidewall bulge here 😊

Does anyone know how to adjust the tpms sensor range for the correct pressure for the tire?

I just put on my winter set in a 255/40/18 and set my pressure to the correct 29/27 psi for the load rating, but I cannot figure out how to reset it for the life of me! It keeps telling me that 27 is too low, which is wrong for this size tire and load. I've looked through every menu I can think of to find it, and nothing references tire pressures.
I'm guessing you need the scan tool like the dealer uses. My 19 in wheels have a different psi than the stock 18s on my a spec and there is a disclaimer tag that reminds the dealer to adjust the tpms to look at the new range.

Yeah, the Bosch ecu has a lot of capability. I'm sure it has to be in there somewhere, but you're right, I'm sure it's a registry setting.

I wonder how hard it is to get the scan tool and license? I'm sure it's probably like 150$/mo or something silly.

Yeah. The guy in this video had it done for his wheels, but he had to jump a few hoops because the dealer wouldn't do it for him. Eventually, he found and independent shop that had the right tool. Completely different vehicle, but it definitely shows that with the right tool it is possible.
