Yes, I did get to order this the way I wanted. Carbon fiber roof, simple and lightweight was the goal. I will share more photos in the coming days weeks. I decided to add splashes of color as I usually go with very plain interior. Shark blue seat belts and trim pieces.

Honeymoon effect is strong on this one. I hope it won’t sit around too much. :D

Cars can sometimes be surprising. The original plan was not to keep the 911T for long. However, I find myself enjoying a few of the short term cars the most and miss them when they are gone.

Thanks! My 718T was also shark blue and I like the color more than I thought I would.

As some of you might find it interesting to hear various perspectives, I am picking this new toy up tomorrow. Of course, I am very excited about it. I am happy to share my thoughts as I put miles on it. Coincidentally, passenger side front DWS 06+ has a leak so I “need” to put fun miles on...

@optronix RE-71RS is an amazing tire but don’t count the A052 out.
  7. All About That Intake -- List of Air Intakes for Integra Type S

With torque target as the primary control strategy, I don’t really understand the theory behind how modifications without corresponding ECU changes would yield consistent power gain over time. Does anyone know how it works?

Well, marketing and social media are strong forces. At the end of the day, CTR and ITS are so similar that any performance differences due to the car is likely a very small percentage of overall performance as the driver is the key factor in maximizing performance anyway. @optronix From the...

I took the ITS out for a fun drive this morning. It’s about 120 miles and take around 3 hours. I continue to be impressed by the ITS. Even with my RWD preference (almost snobbery), the ITS delivers. As long as one respects the traction circle of the front tires, the suboptimal (IMO) FWD dynamics...

Besides software and hardware, I think it's important to have a pretty good foundational understanding of the mechanical aspects, the physics, and control system theory as well. The software side is also likely very different than what you are used to (speculating on my end from what you have...

Eventually, I will likely play with Hondata. However, I prefer a first principle approach and have start my learning journey. I have a pretty ambitious vision so we will see how far I can get. Of course, I dream that our platform is open. Imagine being able to get the ECU specifications...

For you (if you have one or more S2000s) and your S2000 friends, I finally posted the parts I am selling on S2KI. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/member-s2000-classifieds-sale-107/wa-best-s2000-parts-serious-builds-1218234/ This way, I can fund my ITS rabbit hole. :D

Over 2500 miles now. While some of the miles were commuting miles, I estimate 80% of the miles are fun street miles. So far, I have averaged 14 mpg and that is a good indicator of lots of enjoyment! I did not get to test the DWS 06+ in the snow & ice that we recently got in the PNW. In the cold...
  14. Carbon fiber two piece wheel

Wheels can be pretty tricky. Carbon fiber, IMO, is not great for wheels (decorative is fine). Besides curb damage, damage from potholes and rock chips are going to happen at some point and I would not trust a repaired carbon fiber wheel to be safe. Magnesium alloy from Litespeed is likely as...

My latest musing is putting a K20C1 or better yet a destroked K24 making about 330hp@9500rpm that redlines at 10,000rpm into an Ultima RS. https://www.ultimasports.co.uk/Models/UltimaRS That might be easier than starting from scratch. I have always wanted something like a BAC Mono but with...

If I can pull off an engine that makes good power all the way to 8000 rpm, I think pairing that would shorter final drive would be good. Going to the FK8 ratio is a decent step but I think 4.4 or shorter would be even better. Does anyone know how speedometer correction can be done in our platform?

Since many of you might still have S2000 or know people that do, I thought I would put the words out that I am selling lots of great parts. Most of them are brand new in original boxes. Freshly built by InlinePro F25C (2.5L) naturally aspirated pump gas monster that is meant for 9000 rpm...
  18. ForeverCar’s ITS Journal

Today’s ITS musing might help some understand why I am considering a build that allows for 8000 rpm with max power output at say 7500 rpm. Besides the visceral awesomeness of high rpm, there are other reasons why I think this approach warrants consideration. First, I want to help clarify a key...
  19. Factory service manual available?

Yikes! $1500 per year. I wonder if there are some sort of consumer protection acts that mitigate this kind of extortion!
  20. ECU photo with Bosch label

Yes, that! Are you up for sharing a version without the masks?
