  1. Spotted Integra Type S Thread!

I saw one type s in overland park, KS area recently. Going north on quivira and haven't seen him since! I did find a tlx type s twin i parked next to at the quivira target in that area.
  2. Soon to be New Owner of ITS - Question!

Yep. It's the "luxury" marquee I have a problem with. It's like tesla trying to brand themselves as luxury... Just not quite. Nicer than a Honda or lincoln, but not nicer than a mazda. Definitely not a lexus, merc, audi, BMW, or even vw. I do understand that 60k today doesn't buy what 30k did...
  3. Soon to be New Owner of ITS - Question!

I think what you're feeling is the diff, based on your description. This car tries to manage torque steer via mechanical means, and it works pretty well, but it's still very much there. The lack of slip makes it feel more aggressive at times for sure. Wider track will make it a tad bit less...
  4. Back on Track

Tint is done. Looking forward to getting the ppf on!
  5. Soon to be New Owner of ITS - Question!

There are definitely rattles. Some, like the infotainment screen rattle, depend on if the tsb was completed or not. No car is perfect and I've had a fair share of weird rattles in other cars, but this is the first new car where I've found easily preventable rattles in under 100 miles. BMW is...
  6. Back on Track

Dropped off the car for ppf this morning and somehow between last night and this morning I got two rock chips on the hood. It was entirely down to the metal, which is very surprising. It's pretty clear from the chip area that the paint is just too thick, and it's particularly thick in that area...
  7. Back on Track

Yeah, the leather i find annoying on the stock knob. I'm trying out the oem ti because it's cheap and I think I might like the shape. Plus the metal on the oe leather knob gets obscenely hot. Check out lathewerks. Chris's knobs are all good and customizable. The oem one based on the sti oem...
  8. Back on Track

Found a tlx twin at target. Also I ordered the ti shift knob. Ppf is finally going on tomorrow. I'm debating on doing the roof in smoke. We'll see.
  9. Anyone know where or of a place making a custom lip

Lips I don't know, but sounds like you were also asking about splitters and other aero...? if you're looking for actual aero there are quite a few fabricators out there. AJ Hartman is well known. I've made my own carbon splitters as well, and it's not impossible but not for the faint hearted...
  10. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

The way ej power comes on was always entertaining. Like driving an old widowmaker if you ever get so lucky... It's hard to match the connectedness from other cars. I looked at some amg cars recently but they all came with the wrong transmission choice. It's too bad amg and audi rs went that way.
  11. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

Yep, pos... Popped two engines, one trans, multiple cv joints, and literally everything rattled like hell. Stupid, stupid car. Damn it i miss it...
  12. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

Yep, typical subaru. I had a 2010 wrx and later a 2014 sti... The hood scoop would start peeling from bug guts by 20k mi.
  13. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

Size of vehicle and type of ppf also impacts cost. 7k is not unusual for ppf with ceramic built in and covering all parts of the car, including trim and grill. Almost every tesla, rivian, and Porsche owner I know goes this route. Their paint is all thin and soft though. The Integra paint is...
  14. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

I've never had much issue taking ppf off. Just a heat gun and some patience is all it has taken. I do agree it's an extra step in repair. Insurance often won't cover it unless it was actually reported and you ensured it was insured. However, I do know some installers will give you a discount...
  15. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

I really don't understand how the ppf producers and resellers can call that a "track pack". I did have a long discussion with the xpel and ceramic pro folks in my area and they don't disagree, but they have no option on what to call it from the producers. I'd say a real track pack should...
  16. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

Nothing in life is black and white only, there are always arguments to be made... So if two cars were the same mileage, year, color, etc but just separated by ppf or not, you would choose the non-ppf car?
  17. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

And this totally makes sense... If all you want to do is have a car that looks decent and 85-90% by year 5 or 6 then you can certainly just do a quality ceramic and do all the car washes you want. PPF won't buy you anything you care about in this case. The counter argument is that no one is...
  18. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

Totally fair. I personally am too lazy to respray a car that's 5 or 6 years old and beaten up on the front end, but if you're not aversed to taking that time then there's certainly nothing wrong with punting the cost down the road!
  19. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

I personally wouldn't go this route since the chips underneath the wrap will all be visible on the wrap itself. Also, a wrap is not always equal to ppf in protection. There are some thicker wraps out there, but in general wraps are more likely to tear and chip than ppf is. Ppf and wrap, it's...
  20. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

There's some argument to be made about it having resale value in the 50% range. Some dealers do check and it does show up on carfax if done by a ppf installer that reports it. I don't know how much of a difference it really makes, but I do know the only used one I saw that had ppf sold the day...
