  1. Started my detailing journey, 2024 Integra type S

Looks good! Did you do graphene or graphene advanced? I've done advanced quite a lot and like it, but in 85F it flashes in like 20-30s and is a massive pain to work with. Now you have to get a minisun and a proper wide angle lens so we can reeeaaally inspect it 😅😉
  2. PPF is it worth it for complete car?

Outside of hood, fenders, bumper, a pillar, roof, hatch, valence, and rocker panels not really. Arguably spat area could be covered for some benefit, but it's kind of minor there. Doing doors, rear quarters, and most of rear bumper is kind of a waste. Front end is obvious why it helps, valence...
  3. 2025 MDX type S

Always. It just comes down to acceptable or not. Unequal panel gaps with one side being 1/2" and the other 1/4" is something I'd expect out of a tesla or Kia, but I've seen people on this forum post about it on their integras. A scratch here or there is about normal, but every panel having...
  4. Loose/ Shittily Fit Trunk Close Handles

Mine fell out on second use. The lever area on them was bruised as if by a metal pick. I suspect the dealer tech that installed the black badges did it. They took some force to pop back in around the metal, and then wiggled too much for my liking. When I did the spoiler install, I felt taped...
  5. 2025 MDX type S

    Fact. Also, captain's chairs rock!
  6. Alcantara Center Console with Stitching

Link to mirror? I've been looking at a custom homelink button in the blank on the center console, but it's a pita to do.
  7. 2025 MDX type S

I stopped by the dealer to grab some pop clips because whoever installed the black badges at the dealer broke two and lost one, which explains the hatch rattling. They had two type s mdx in the showroom so I took a look. They're definitely much, much higher build quality than the its. The body...
  8. Back on Track

I bought some clips at the dealer. 8 of them were like 5$ or so...i could have made the dealer pay for them or fix it, but I was in a rush and I'd rather do it all myself so I can felt tape every contact area. The carbon spoiler fits okay. It needs an 11/32nds drill bit. It flexes quite a bit...
  9. Back on Track

Yes, the little things I can look past. The fender to cowl alignment hurts my soul. It just really cheapens an otherwise really cool front end.
  10. Back on Track

Well, I took apart hatch trim to put in the CF spoiler and I found two broken clips and one entirely missing. No wonder the hatch plastic flexed so much and rattled. The broken pieces weren't in the sheet metal, so someone clearly knew about it, cleared it out, and didn't replace the clips. I...

I'll do a before and after measure. If I can get an additional 0.3 total, that would be huge. It doesn't sound like a lot, but if you start at 3.0 total and add 0.3 total, that's a 10% gain from doing basically nothing. It will make a difference, and since it's getting an alignment anyway why not!
  12. Back on Track

The pins were SUPER easy to remove. I just used an old nut from the lower arm strut pinch bolt on my gti and intentionally cross threaded it onto the pin. It wasn't the same thread but it was what I had available in my junk drawer so why not?!? You can also just grab a set of nicer vice grips...
  13. Back on Track

Yeah I totally get that! I have the same kind of mindset typically. I agree not all race shops are created equal, which is why I suggest finding them through an organization and not Google. I agree though that having a decent shop for small stuff around would be great. I used to go to a nearby...
  14. RSplitter's Full Splitter Kit

Is it a full splitter that goes to the front of the wheels or the front axle or is it just a lip that attaches to the bumper? Nice job on the photos BTW! Is that silver?
  15. 2025 MDX type S

Agreed 100%. I didn't want another finicky dual clutch or a slushbox. And since I'm not a retiree the ct5v bw was out... That left the g80 m3 and its. Its is more fun.
  16. 2025 MDX type S

That may have been true 20 years ago... I mean, my q7 has 78k miles and a solid 10k are towing just under 7000lbs with an enclosed trailer. No squeaks, creaks, rattles or noises of any sort. It's the cost of parts and labor that makes German cars lose value. I'm sure the its will drive for at...
  17. 2025 MDX type S

Maybe. I kind of expected it to be near the gti in terms of build quality, but we're just not there. With 350mi now there's just too many problems to try to call this a "luxury" brand. Maybe mine is just a lemon, but I can't fathom a world where this is "on par" with the Germans in build. The...
  18. 2025 MDX type S

Hate to sound like an a-hole but, How's the build quality of the mdx type s? Is it as bad as the its? I've had my its for two weeks or so and I've found paint defects from factory, rattles, buzzing, driver mirror shaking on the highway, fenders on the rear doors peeling away, rocker panel gaps...
  19. Back on Track

I never let a "tuner shop" touch anything suspension or electrical on my cars. I've known a lot of shops recommending and doing things that concern me. I look for race shops that build cars and are actually approved to check cars by certain race organizations like NASA, IMSA, or FIA. Those shops...
  20. Borla Exhaust for the DE5

Thank you! I used their search before, but for some reason just couldn't get it to give me the same result. This time it searched fine. It does look like they have both 2.5" and 3" to fit the De5 exhaust. Bonus is their tips are CHEAP! Now if I can just find both a 2.5 and 3.0 resonated tip...
