Sorry you guys are having to deal with this. I’m not too familiar with CF - would having the spoiler clear coated protect or remedy this? It seems like the failure is under the surface. Would an opaque wrap or paint better prevent UV from attacking the resin?

I have this issue as well. Whats weird i that its two very specific areas and has not spread. I did the install myself, so I'm not sure what they will say. I was going to mention it when I go in for the steering recall, but I'm not holding my breath. In case I had to remove it, does anyone know how to remove the zip tie clips used to hold acura accessories on?

EDIT: I just talked to my guy at a paint and PDR company. He can do the sand and clear coat for 250-350. Oh well. Good thing I got the part discounted, so after paying, it will cost me about retail price for the paint altogether.

EDIT2: The Acura store I purchased the part from got approval from Acura to replace the part, so they are shipping me out a new replacement spoiler.

I've started to notice this problem on my spoiler as well. My question is I'm the second owner of my car and it had the spoiler on it when I got it. I have no clue if it got installed by a dealer or the previous owner. Am I likely sol on any kind of warranty claim?

Warranty on accessories is 1yr from purchase. You're probably sol just on timing.

That said, you can pull the spoiler, sand it with 1000 grit and soapy water until it's gone, then sand with 2500 grit plus soapy water until the sand marks are gone. Clear coat in a urethane based clear, sand with 2500, clear coat, sand, clear coat, polish. Carbon is very easy to work with. The hardest part is getting the spoiler off.
