For anyone that cares about me and my loaners:

The hatch issue with the mdx appears to be operator error. I used the fob to open it today with no issue. Maybe it was upset I didn't unlock it before trying to open and tried using proximity plus the physical push, I don't know.

We're due for -5 with 50mph winds starting tomorrow night so we'll see how it handles cold. I wish I thought to bring my scraper with me when I transferred my things. Luckily the wife keeps a spare in the house.

While I hope your issue is fixed soon I’ve appreciated your thoughts on the loaners. I was considering an RDX for my wife but now I’m wondering.

Agree - we are considering an MDX.
In that case, let this photo help you decide. The drivers seat is in my comfortable driving position here. Obviously it's dependent on height and leg length. Adjustable pedals would remedy this somewhat (but i don't see any buttons for adjusting so i assume they don't) as the steering wheel can telescope quite far forward/back. Putting a child in requires moving my seat forward.

I also folded down the third row because 5 bags of groceries was enough to almost fill the trunk with them up.

Otherwise, the interior is much better appointed than the RDX. I wouldn't have to worry about bumping elbows with a front seat passenger in the MDX.

Observed gas mileage so far has been the same between the MDX and RDX both awd. I do mostly city driving and both have sat around 18.5. I'd guess my driving knocked down the RDX a bit as it frequently got in boost around town. Interestingly, on the highway drive back from the dealer (I reset the trip when I left for both) the MDX showed 26.5 and the RDX showed 23.5.

Funny how that looks the back of my integra.

“Stop kicking my seat! … Because this is my car not mommy’s car. ..: Well in this car I’M the boss…

I feel like there's actually more space in the back of the integra. My 8 year old (takes after me, long legs) has no problem sitting behind me in that. That was the deciding factor in me buying it. The 5 year old is the kicker..so she goes behind the passenger seat.

I dropped my car off on Tuesday to get the sensor fixed and the waste gate rattle looked at. I had a 2022 Acura TLX Tech loaner for two days. I was surprised by how much more backseat space there is in the Integra vs TLX.

The tlx is the only one I haven't experienced.

What did they say about your issues? Im especially curious about rhe wastegate rattle.

Any other thoughts on the tlx? Was it a 2.0T?

2.0T was nice, felt very torquey and liked to Rev. Wish it would have came in the integra. The brake system issues have not came back yet, fingers crossed it was the left rear sensor only. As for the waste gate rattle here are my steps to recreate it:

Put windows down
Take off to 10 mph in 1st gear
Let the car coast back down without pushing the clutch in or putting it in neutral

You should hear what sounds like washers rubbing together or a metallic jingling.

Didn't get a pre-Christmas update from the dealer.

This MDX was a blessing in disguise today. I finally can see why people praise the SHAWD. Didn't have a single issue in the -8 degree snow drifts, slush piles or whatever else it plowed through today.

I also noticed there are pull-up rear door window shades today. I wish we had this feature when the kids were still babies.

MDX followup: this thing is squishy. The brake pedal feels squishy, the seats feel squishy, the ride is squishy, the steering is squishy. It wallows over bumps, even compared to the 18 sierra I used to drive.

No ELS sound and I can safely say it has nothing on the els. Nothing at all. The els is in a class of its own compared to this.

The hatch is broken. It just beeps at me and half-unlatches before relaunching at the next click.

Android auto compatibility is on par with the integra - that is I have already had an issue when there was no issue prior.

I found the Lane departure mitigation off selection. There is a separate button to the left of the steering wheel that pulls the function menu up on the dash to turn it off. Strangely, the low, med, high, settings are in the infotainment as it is in the integra. This seems like an engineering oversight.
I finally realized what the squishing reminds me of. I had a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer that I am still sad I got rid of that felt extremely similar. Is it sporty? No. Is it comfortable? Yes. Does the SUV-ness give confidence that you can plow through just about any daily driving terrain? Absolutely.

Regarding the AA issue - I was able to reconnect in the infotainment. No other issue was this simple to resolve in either of the RDX loaners or the Integra.

Overall, the MDX is giving me vibes of refinement (and confidence) beyond the rest of the lineup, which makes sense, since it is the oldest (albeit updated).

Coincidentally, the day after logging my complaint with Acura, my car now needs a sub-harness that is on backorder until February and due to this not being safety-related, the car is being released back to me. Only 2 more business days and we would be at lemon territory. 🤔 Coincidence? Doubtful.

I hate how much I like driving this car. It makes it harder to keep fighting this but complacency only gives these corporate money machines more power to rail the consumer and that will keep me going. For $40k OTD Honda/Acura should do much, much better.

I left with my car (freshly washed and with a full tank of gas this time), a promise to call me when the parts arrive, and a stack of "internal use" repair orders that the young SA let me take as well as digital copies of their documentation to add to my case file with Acura.

Still no response from acura besides the initial request for additional information.

Oddly, I have had no errors since picking the car up this time.

Funny comment from the dealer: the original SA i had said he has seen me more than any other customer when I picked my car up.

This reads like a horror story, following this thread now. Hope it works out.

I'd have made a huge stink of this, you are very patient.
