I'm trying to make up my mind, I think I really want the manual, but test drove a CVT yesterday, and it was ok. I'm not a fan of CVT's. If this was a traditional automatic, there would be no question I would go with it. If I get the manual, I'm worried I will get annoyed with it in traffic jams like I did with my 15' Civic Si. So, anyone here regret getting the CVT over the manual?

I went with the 6MT but i too have a '15 Si (well until they come to take it for the trade-in lol)

For the 1.5T I would highly recommend the 6MT. It comes with an LSD while the cvt does not. Also makes the little engine a lot more entertaining and feels faster.

I have the 6MT and my son has the CVT. Unless you have horrible traffic, go for the 6MT.
The CVT isn't a bad transmission. The 6MT is an amazing one.

They do feel about the same off the line under regular acceleration.

Thanks for all the input. I drove a CVT yesterday, and went to test a manual today. The CVT isn't too bad, I was actually pretty impressed, they have come a long way. On the other hand, at least for me, the 6MT feels like a different car, much better for me, so, I bought it. I got a used 2023 Apex Blue, with the Orchid Interior with 15K miles. The interior color wasn't my first choice, but it's slim pickings around here. I saved over 6K by not buying new, and got the Acura Certified Warranty

Congrats, I think you made the right choice and sounds like you got a great deal. I have the Apex/Orchid, and I've been surprised the orchid is not a huge chore to keep clean. You will love the 6MT and blue paint!!

I purchased a CVT model. As far as transmission, it is...Ok. Definitely better than the 2012 Nissan Altima I had as a beater but that isn't saying too much. I feel spoiled by my experience with a DSG when I had my Mk7 GTI. It was amazing, in most if not all aspects. The CVT. After putting about a thousand miles on it, driving in Sport mode, and setting the individual settings to Sport, it is still ok. I have found that the paddle shifters do a much better job with the simulated gear shifts and the "shifting" feels much tighter and more responsive. The thing that bothers me is a strange lull in what I would presume is 1st gear at about 3.5-4.5 rpm where the entire transmission seems confused when pressing on the gas pedal or it could of been a simulated upshift and lost its "balls". It just sort of hangs out and doesn't want to activate. The solution with my driving style is to use the paddle shifters, if I want to get somewhere a bit quicker. Overall, if I were just casually driving around town and had no where to be, it is fine. This is the tradeoff with a CVT v. manual. I simply do not want to bang gears around town regardless of how great and praise worthy the 6mt may be. If this vehicle (Integra as a whole) had a DSG style of transmission I suspect a lot more people would be driving them. They are smooth, accurate and faster than the ole 6mt 'regular" manuals.

That is the tradeoff. 6mt makes the vehicle a bit more fun to drive. The CVT gets the job done and is ok for what it is. I would be incredibly interested if the CVT is something that can be tuned via a TCU tune, to tighten things up a bit.

I think you summed it up pretty good, I have a 2011 Honda Fit, and I think if the Integra had a transmission like that, 6 or 8 speed, I would have bought that

I'm making an appointment for tint tomorrow, hope to get it in Friday, looking to add a sub too. The stock system is ok, good on some songs, but a better sub will make it shine. I'll probably do a 12" sealed

There is no way I would buy a CVT…I have had a really hard time even when I bought my 2019 RDX and that was a 10 speed automatic (a very nice tranny). I bought the A-Spec white over red with the 6MT, of course. What a blast to drive!

I got flammed a lot when I said to buy a Civic CVT instead of a Integra CVT. I would've considered a DCT Integra though.
After driving a DCT Mk7 for years. It is noticeable. I feel a more refined integra with a detuned 2.0 and a DCT would be a killer combo. It would more or less be the same consideration as a GTI/Golf R. From everything that I have read, the L15 and cvt are definitely not great platform to push.

I'm with you on this mindset, actually. If you're getting a CVT, the Civic Hatchback Touring has some great features, and it's quite a bit less expensive (at MSRP) than the A-Spec + Tech Integra, which is where all of the best features come in.
