I am about to drop off my ITS to have some elective surgery, and I can't find a Valet feature listed in the manual, but thought I had seen it mentioned in a Car & Driver feature list for the ITS a while back.

Does it exist? If it does, how do I access it?

The only way I know is with a Tune and using Hondatas multimap feature.

i've been meaning to ask if our cars have a valet key/ key slot. it looks like there's a valet key inside our FOB (my 9th gen Si had one and there was a slot for it hidden somewhere on the door handle).

i would never let a valet drive my car, but i was curious all the same :p

Key in fob just unlocks the car door. Key hole behind door handle.

Makes me wonder ...... how many valets can drive a manual??

Years ago, after a nice dinner - a friend had his Saab totalled in a parking garage by the valet bringing back his car. Even a "valet mode" may not have saved that one!

I'm super picky about this. I hate anyone else, other than specific family members driving my cars. At best I tolerate the dealership if I have to bring it in for service, but when it comes to valets, I'm parking my own car and they can ride shotgun for liability purposes. If that's not acceptable, I would literally go somewhere else.

I've said it before, but people in North America in 2024 are pretty retarded and have zero respect for other people's property and I'm not trusting something so special to me on the off chance they don't fall into this category.

I haven't ran into this issue since McDonald's doesn't offer this service yet. 🤣

I had my 2010 Mazda 3 GT's clutch burnt out by a valet. The car was less than 2 years old with about 10,000 miles on it following a family wedding. The car smelled as it came around, I took possession of the car since it was so late for my 4 year old but kept the parking slip just in case. I figured how much damage could have happened in a couple minutes? Well, the car was worse the next morning and I started getting slippage. Months of arguing with Marriott and my Mazda dealer taught me a lesson to try and avoid valets in general. The 18 service visits I had in under 2 years of ownership for a host of issues means I haven't bought another Mazda yet either.

Absolutely no way I would let a valet drive my ITS. Had one park an older accord many years ago and they creased the fender which I didn’t see due to how late it was. Next morning was special seeing it and too late to do anything.
