I'm kicking myself for not noticing this before I drove off the lot. I bought a used Integra last month from a local Acura dealer but I didn't realize it has locking lug nuts. In my defense, these look just like the standard lug nut, I didn't even notice them until I wanted to put some winter wheels and tires on that I already had. Irony is that the car I traded in had locking lug nuts and I made sure to show the sales guy that I put the key in the glove box. I have tried calling the dealer parts, service, and sales but I received only one option, which is bring in the vehicle and they will remove the locking lug nuts and put new ones on and provide a key for them and I have to pay for it. I haven't even made the first payment on the car yet. I thought that there might be paperwork or something that may provide a key number that could be ordered? Or if they could try to get ahold of the previous owner (they claimed it was a local trade) and see if they can obtain the key (I realize that's a long shot).

You doing your part by showing the dealership your lock nut didnt reciprocate because they never intended to do the right thing in the first place.

Have you tried checking the glove and armrest for the key? Last option might be the trunk where the air compressor is. You should have the sales rep make it right instead of paying for the swap.

Agreed the dealer needs to make it right.

I wouldn't even bother with locking lugs to be honest. No one wants the wheels on your car. They want the phone, purse, etc you leave in it or they're taking the whole car. First thing I did on my car was remove them.

If the dealer is tough to work with, you can always grab one of those "gator grip" type sockets with the multi pin design. Those work well at taking off any size lug nut, even odd locking nuts.

This depends... https://www.integraforums.com/forum...y-any-advice-on-where-i-could-buy-some.52697/

Depends on where you live. Around here they steal entire cars, but if you regularly see cars looking like that one you'd better find some locks.
Yeah, but there's so many tricks to easily get wheel locks off that they won't slow down anyone who wants your wheels (or more likely the tires). Look up gator grip sockets. I usually keep one in my track tool kit for any random bolt or thing I run into, like oddly sized triple squares. I helped a guy rotate his wheels with wheel locks when he forgot the key at home. I've also taken off wheel locks with locking pliers and a pipe (I did scratch a wheel doing that, but it came off).

It's like putting a combo lock on your trailer. Sure it will deter a teenager, but a motivated person can get through it with two wrenches and 5 seconds of time.

I am looking for wheel locks for my 2025 Integra A-spec. Not convinced the factory wheel locks are enough. will Mcguard and Gorilla brands fit. Came across, Advanced wheel locks. These any good. They look Promising. Also, what size will fit. 12mm X 1.50, 14mm X 1.50 or another size. Any Information will be greatly appreciated.

Normally, Honda/Acura will give you McGuard if you buy at the dealer. At least that is what they do in Canada.
