Yeah I can't wait ...my assumption is if you buy from them then it's covered under warranty my hope is you don't have to install with Acura though ...I also hope hondata is allowed at that point too ..if that's all true in definitely getting extended warranty

I kinda doubt any warranty or even dealer support.

Took my car to the track and after when I asked the dealer to scan it so I could understand why I got a "brake" light on track (it was because "brake pads too hot") they told me driving my car on track invalidates warranty and they're unwilling to scan it. I had to argue for someone to take 2 min to actually scan my car.

This is so far removed from the experience I've had with other make's dealers... I really hope acura can get it together and actually treat this car like a performance car and not some econobox. Otherwise, no point in paying markups for hrc badged parts. Or taking the car to the dealer.

Yes if that'll be the case then what's the point...but my assumption is after they start selling it that'll change and they be like dealer assigned on certain area

Don't hold your breath. Acura dealers have zero connection to the enthusiast customer. This was all confirmed for me in the last couple weeks. The dealer is there for basic maintenance and warranty concerns and that's IT.

Expecting dealers to galvanize around this HRC effort and have it turn into something like BMW with Dinan is pie in the sky stuff.

That said, the parts themselves I think it's fair to have high expectations around- but only to a point. If you can buy them through dealers that would be nice, and that's something I'd expect... but maintaining warranty and expecting dealers to suddenly have enthusiast-friendly policies and techs experienced with doing anything other than routine maintenance and warranty repairs/recalls is not reasonable IMO.

But if HRC decides to take the parts they've engineered for their racing efforts and make them "streetable", then things can get very interesting. Personally I'm very interested in the coilovers... the wheels, seats, and even exhaust are all "white-labeled" from other manufacturers (Titan, Recaro, and Borla respectively), but still at least appropriately engineered/selected to fit this car. But the coils and perhaps some other bespoke bits may prove to be worth the wait... and it does seem like we'll still have to wait, as there was a mention in one of the articles around "prototypes expected as early as next year".

Good news nonetheless though, although I'm still waiting to hear of a PMC edition. That would be more interesting to me, although I don't expect any significant performance upgrades, but the fit/finish enhancements and color would be interesting enough for me to consider, assuming I can get my hands on one without an exorbitant markup.
