Hey All -

First post here with my new Integra. I am a fan of the redline hood struts on previous vehicles. I ordered THIS KIT for the 11th Gen Civic from them during their Black Friday deal. Easy install and no drilling; removing the hood insulation was the worst part. Feel free to PM me with questions or install details!

Wow. This is one thing our vehicle was missing from factory. Not sure how I feel about it mounting to the strut tower nuts , but nonetheless if no other company’s makes these for the integra , I may just jump on these as well. Thanks for the info and photos

You can find other brands on ebay or Amazon cheaper but YMMV. Just search for 11th Gen hood struts.

Unfortunately, they all seem to mount to the strut tower. I made sure to retorque to factory specs (33 ft-lbs).

Thank you , I was the thinking of ordering the Elite version. Not sure what it does besides
Costing more but it’s similar part numbers but the last number switches from a 2 to a 3

The gas springs are 316 SST instead of black powder coated.

@enjay4553 can you tell me how high the gas struts lifted the hood compared to the factory prop? Is it comparable to the lowest setting on the prop or the highest service setting or something in between?

There are no settings. The hoods lifts about the same height as factory prop.

I understand there are no settings on the Redline gas struts. I’m asking how high do the Redline struts lift the hood compared to the factory prop. The factory prop has TWO lift locations: the lowest one and the highest “service” one that lifts the hood to an almost vertical position.

They lift to the standard lower location. Definitely not fully vertical. You would not be able to over extend them into a fully vertical position either.

Thanks. I’ve seen other aftermarket hood struts but they all use some sort fishing line for that blind nut on the 11th green Civic. Redline’s solution for the blind nut in the hood is so much better imo.

I know many people hate the factory hood prop but that high service position is great when working in the engine bay. That’s the only thing preventing me from installing these.

I put struts on my Tacoma, because it was a pretty heavy hood and a bit "up there" for me since I'm barely 5'5" after a good night's sleep. I don't see a need for them on the Integra, especially since they eliminate the service position.
