That looks like an area that will trap water regularly. Are you planning on showing the dealer? It looks like the paint failed after rubbing or impacting something, maybe during assembly?
The chip would be an easy spot fix, but the rust coming from that folded steel portion is concerning. I opened a case with Acura because, last time I warrantied a paint repair through the dealer, I had to go back three times. The body shop was a disaster —dents on the door, large paint chips on the edges, breaking trim tabs and trying to cover it up, and even using masking tape as body filler.
After all that, I gave up. Who would want to go back a fourth time? It’s frustrating that I can do a better job in my driveway than they can in their shop.
