Dear Acura INTEGRA Owner:

This email notice has been sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act (Canada). This is to inform you that your vehicle may contain a defect that could affect the safety of a person.
Honda Motor Co. has determined that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2023 model year INTEGRA vehicles. Please confirm the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) above matches the VIN on the upper left of your vehicle’s dashboard.

What is the problem?
High preload force from the worm gear spring may result in insufficient grease between the worm wheel and worm gear within the steering gearbox. This may result in increased friction inside the worm gear mechanism. Increased friction, under certain conditions such as making small steering adjustments at highway speeds, may cause the steering wheel to feel like it is momentarily “sticking”. The additional steering effort and difficulty increases the risk of a crash. To resolve this issue, all affected vehicles will have some additional grease applied to the gearbox and will have the worm gear spring replaced.

What should you do?
Please contact your Acura dealer to schedule an appointment to have this Safety Recall service performed on your vehicle. You can schedule your appointment online – please visit www.acura.ca/dealerlocator to find a dealer in your region. Your dealer will be able to give you an estimate of how long they will require your vehicle – usually less than a day. The Safety Recall service procedure may take up to 1 hour to complete. The dealer will perform the recall service free of charge.

Who to contact if you experience problems or have questions?
If you need assistance or if your dealer is unable to perform the necessary service free of charge, please contact Acura Canada Client Services at 1-888-9ACURA9 (1-888-922-8729).

Please help Acura Canada keep you informed:
This notice was emailed to you according to the most current information we have available. If you no longer own this vehicle, or some information in this notice is incorrect, please contact Acura Canada at 1-888-9ACURA9 (1-888-922-8729) or forward this notice to the new owner. I just received this letter today. I was aware of the recall and wondering if any Canadians went through the process as well. Watching...

Apparently, because of the build time, it was only 2 car that were affected.

edit: that’s for Integra Type S

You should receive an email from Honda if you’re affected. I received one as I have an FL5, but I’m waiting till spring as it’s in storage for the winter. The message the OP posted was the email contents. I read about the affected Integras via the GTA group chat. I can request an add if you’re interested.

My son got the same notice for his '23 Honda Civic. Sounds like a wider issue. When I drove it a few weeks ago I definitely felt some of the "stickiness".
