I think this really depends on how to car is driven because I’ve put about 1k tuned miles, I keep it on map1 but push the car pretty hard and the only thing that slips are the tires. I’ve experienced no clutch slippage in map 1 or 2. And to be honest, even if my clutch goes or starts slipping I’d rather drop 1k to have an aftermarket clutch with install and keep the tune then to ever go back to the stock tune.🫡

Sure, I could not floor it in 5th gear and keep the tune on level one and the stock clutch disc probably would have soldered on for yrs but I wanted to be able to enjoy every bit of the tune so I ponied up for an upgrade.
Clutch disc's are cheap! Labor, not so much! 😟

that's good to hear. I plan to keep it map 1 until I upgrade the clutch. I just want 220-250whp lol

I’ve done some tests myself and have floored 6th gear at around 2500 rpms on the highway running map1 and experienced zero clutch slipping. I’m not no technician or anything, but it really just seems to be that some people get unlucky with their clutch discs and have one that maybe is slightly worse at holding power or maybe the tune you got is pushing the car just hard enough for it to be slipping😕.

What tune are you referring to?
Mine slipped with Map 2 of the Phearable tune. I believe Map 1 is similar to stock power levels but with a more linear torque curve.

I’m also running the phearable 1.5R tune. I know map1 has the same boost as stock but even in map2 I have yet to experience any slippage. I can’t speak toooo much for map3 as I have only used a few times.

93 tune?
My oem clutch had about 35k miles on it before the tune. Mostly hwy miles though.
Maybe you'll continue to luck out and not have an issue.

Update:

Vehicle: 2024 Integra Type S

Total tuned time: 6 weeks

Tuned miles driven: 600

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata Flashpro

Tunes used: Phearable DE5 Stage 2, JesterTuned Custom Tune

Fuel used: 91 octane and E85

Additional related mods: PRL HVI, PRL TIP, PRL Intercooler and Charge Pipes, Ballade Sports Race Downpipe, PRL Front Pipe, PRL RMM, Mishimoto Expansion Tank, Acuity Reverse Flow Hoses, and Wunderladen Oil Catch Can. JSR race ported Intake Manifold, SoCal Porting ported Throttle Body and Turbo Outlet Pipe. Deatchswerks DW300C LPFP, Full-Race HPFP, Hondata CANFlex, Radium in-line Fuel Filter and pressure gauge, and PTFE AN6 fuel lines, and Hondata 1530cc Injectors.

Problems/issues: None.

Driving style: Typically drive conservatively but enthusiastic with the throttle here and there.

Tuning experience notes: Was impatiently waiting on flex fuel and got all the supporting parts to go along with it and had an amazing tune and experience with JesterTuned. Next bigger turbo and tune again.
Update to #246:

Vehicle: 2024 Integra Type S

Total tuned time: 6 months

Tuned miles driven: 3,000

Tuning device(s) used: Hondata Flashpro

Tunes used: Phearable DE5 Stage 2, JesterTuned Custom Tune

Fuel used: 91 octane and E85 up to E80

Additional related mods: PRL HVI, PRL TIP, PRL Intercooler and Charge Pipes, PRL Front Pipe, PRL RMM, Mishimoto Expansion Tank, Acuity Reverse Flow Hoses, and Wunderladen Oil Catch Can. JSR race ported Intake Manifold, SoCal Porting ported Throttle Body and Turbo Outlet Pipe. Deatchswerks DW300C LPFP, Full-Race HPFP, Hondata CANFlex, Radium in-line Fuel Filter and pressure gauge, PTFE AN6 fuel lines, and Hondata 1530cc Injectors. Added Kuro+ Turbo, PTP Hybrid Turbo Blanket, TSP Downpipe, and CSF Radiator.

Problems/issues: None.

Driving style: Typically drive conservatively but let her rip from time to time.

Tuning experience notes: Another amazing experience with JesterTuned on another custom E-tune. Got me dialed in making great power and drivability with room for longevity and safety. Plus I have the option of pumping 91 all the way to the max pump E85 of E80%. Beyond happy with everything and how the car is coming together. The power delivery of the Kuro+ is so nice compared to the little OE Turbo, car drives better and more predictably with the Kuro+.

Yes 93 octane tune. My clutch had about 25k miles when I tuned it but I have not sparred this car at all. I’ve dumped the clutch a few times😅, accelerate the car multiple times a day, and I would say 50/50 for highway and city miles. On top of that, I get almost daily touch-less car washes and when I go through the dryers ur kinda forced to slip the clutch for like a minute.

You clearly got a better clutch disc than I.

Hello everyone! I'm new here, but have been reading through this thread which convinced me to pull the trigger on the KTuner with the Phearable 1.5R tune. Have about 1,300 miles on my '24 Integra A-Spec w/Tech, so I am guessing I should be good to go as far as break in.

This will be my first tune on any vehicle I've owned, have always just left them stock. It seems like everyone is having good luck with the phearable tune, and have also checked out the civicxi forum's thread on this which they also seem to be having good luck. The main reason it was tough for me to pull the trigger on the tuner/tune is the powertrain warranty that came with the car.

Has anyone had a powertrain issue after tuning and used the warranty? I'm almost certain they can tell you've tuned it, even if you re-flash it back to stock.

Also, what is an "ok" kcon to keep running at? From what I understand so far, 0.49 seems to be the best, but is there an upper limit? I live in Texas and have good 93 octane all around here, so that shouldn't be a problem, but that is one thing that I'll definitely be keeping an eye on.

And lastly, when flashing for the first time, I can just use my desktop to load and save the tune on the KTuner, and then just flash with the KTuner alone, right? Or do I need a laptop hooked up to it at the same time?
Welp, now at about 15,000 miles. Have only had the flash disconnected 1 time when I went to the dealership for the recall and oil change. No problems whatsoever from the Phearable 1.5R tune. I usually keep it in the "2" setting out of 3, and for the most part I'm pretty easy on it. Sometimes I do wind it out a little, but I make sure I'm in 2nd or higher gear at at least 3500-4000rpm before I really get onto it. No slipping clutch, no funny smells, great gas mileage. Nothing to complain about here! I couldn't imagine the difference when I disconnected it for the oil change. It was like driving a whole different car - for the worse. Couldn't wait to get it reinstalled. The MPG is what really surprises me. I took a road trip from TX to WV, went the mountainous way over I-40 and up I-77 and still averaged 36MPG. And you all know how high the RPMs run on the interstate. Was running pretty much the whole way at around 3200 RPM and still averaged 36MPG. Crazy. Can't say enough about the tune! And I'm definitely glad I pulled the trigger on it soon after I bought the car!

Just a reminder that all tuned 5th gen Integra owners should add their car here. It will help others decide if tuning is right for them and will help the community study long term tuning reliability.

'24 Integra 6MT
Vehicle: 2024 Aspec MT

Total tuned time: 1 year 3 months

Tuned miles driven: 17000 miles (tuned around 3k miles, now at 20k)

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: Pherable 1.5R on Map 2 100% of the time.

Fuel used: 91 octane

Additional related mods: zero. bone stock engine wise except a KN drop in. Stock clutch.

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: A daily driver that sees all sorts of driving in a 60 mile round trip commute everyday in LA traffic.

Tuning experience notes: throttle response was improved. Rev hang is still there and noticeable but its nowhere near as bad as stock. Car still slow but the greatly improved midrange which is where i am at during most of my commute makes it much more "fun". MPG hasn't really taken a hit. Averaging ~35 mpg. Have not experienced clutch slip yet.
