Integra Type S Quick Impressions

Hi,
We kicked off a digital magazine last year called SHIFT Colorado, covering Colorado's car culture. Last week, we tagged along with the Rocky Mountain Automotive Press on their annual driving event. The Event brings over 40 journalists from surrounding states to drive 20 new OEMs cars. We were fortunate to drive the new Type S, um, before I broke it. Hit a pothole, killed the tire, and took the car out of commission for the rest of the day for other journalists. Oops.
Anyway, check out the link, and let us know what you think.

Thanks,

Perhaps the best/most helpful review I've read in quite some time. No, not the full write-up, although I will check that out. "Hit a pothole, killed the tire, and took the car out of commission for the rest of the day" is pretty descriptive. Bummer that happened, but aren't there potholes everywhere? Spare tire anyone?

Potholes are here everywhere in Colorado, big cycles of ice, heat, thaw - things get ugly quick. Car was taken out of commission as the service team did not have a replacement tire available. This Michelin PS4S was developed with Acura for the car, or something like that. And yeah, no spare tire in the Integra, just a useless air pump.

How large of a pothole are we talking? I have hit several decent ones with my aspec but was lucky each time, it has a 40 sidewalll though.

You know what they say about length and girth? This one had length. And then led into another one. I was an idiot and following another car a little closely, not that close, but close enough my focus was on the car in front of me, and not the road surface.

Coming from driving in that same "big cycles of ice, heat, thaw" here in Canada, I can almost hear the "oh shit" as you felt the first pothole.

Oh this is perfect!1
This is what I fear and so I have planned to buy two wheels and tires to go with the car, so I have a spare full time, plus winter tires for when we do have weather here in CT winters.
I hope a full size wheel will fit in the spare tire space of the car and not just a donut.

Look at the spare tire thread. Seems that even a donut might not even fit in the trunk...
