Hi all,

I wish I can be more descriptive about this issue, but it happened so fast that I couldn't capture all the details in my head.

I parked my Integra on a slight downhill street last night. I cocked the steering wheel towards the curb and activated the e-brake. The car was parked about 6 inches from the curb. This morning, upon putting the car in drive, releasing the e-brake, and turning the steering wheel away from the curb to take off, I heard/felt a loud 'thud'. It felt like I curbed the wheels badly, but I didn't.

I thought about this many times over, and cannot pin point when the sound happened, be it after I accelerated or upon turning the steering wheel since it took place quickly.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I will try to see if I can replicate this in the upcoming days, but wanted to ask the group.

Thanks!

Iā€™ve had it happen in a parking lot where a larger stone was under the wheel and when I turned it, it shot out. Maybe the case depending where you parked?

Thanks, bud. My heart dropped for a second because the thud was that loud. Hah! I still have PTSD from curbing nice aftermarket wheels in my 20s.

I donā€™t drive this car much in the 2.5 years of owning it so I wanted to ask the group.

I will see if I can replicate it and will observe the ground to see if there are debris.

Haha I was right there with you when I first heard it! I also think I had a slightly sticky brake pad once and couldā€™ve made the thud, or it was another stone. I couldnā€™t think of anything else it couldā€™ve been but once I saw the stones on the ground, I knew it had to be that

On a flat surface its fine. When I did a first gear test on my driveway the car lurches forward when its off.
