I got my new Billetworkz shit knob today and got it put on. It wasn't as straightforward as the video posted somewhere shows, but for me simple things almost never are.

When I went to spin it on, I noticed that the diameter of the base of the knob was bigger than the top of the boot collar. Eh, less than perfect, but I could have lived with it. I turned it down and went a little past where the shift pattern was square, so I backed it off a bit and felt a little pop. Turns out that was because there's a threaded insert inside the knob. That opened opportunities, so I got to work.

After I used some channel locks to get the insert off the shaft, I cut about 5mm off the insert so the top of the stock boot collar would fit up inside the knob for a little better look. Unfortunately, the knob still sat too high on the shaft, but there was plenty of room for it to go lower. It was stopping because the threaded insert wasn't threaded all the way through. Of course, I didn't have an M10 x 1.5 tap, but I was able to find a bolt.

I only needed a turn or two to get through and the threaded insert is aluminum, so I used a Dremel to cut a notch into the end of the threads of the bolt. After a few minutes I could spin the insert all the way down to the top of the boot collar, which was bottomed on the threads of the shift shaft. I put some red Loctite on the threads of the insert that knob screws onto, snugged everything down and felt quite chuffed with myself.

I didn't take any pictures of the process, but I'll get one of how it turned out tomorrow.

If for some reason I don't like this one the next try will be one from Black Forest Industries. I had one of their knobs on my Mk6 GTI and really liked it. They will have an M10 x 1.5 adapter available for their knobs on or shortly after 21 Dec. Unfortunately, they won't be making a "coin" with our shift pattern.

Type S in the house!
I have a tiny crack in my windshield from a rock from the highway. Wonderful.
I have noticed that this windshield attracts rocks. Had a huge rock hit so hard I thought it went through the windshield. Just chipped no cracks yet.

I'm not sure, but after just 2 months and only about 1700 miles, my windshield appears that it might already be a little pitted. Ordered a TuxMat trunk mat this morning.

Same here. Had a nasty yet small fish eye chip. Safelite did a great job and it’s a pin sized dot now. I also have 3 ultra small pits. I might just get some glass resin and fill them myself. Makes me wish I got the exterior windshield film protection.

This looks so nice and in red. I've had second thoughts. Wondering if I should have gotten red. haha

Yeah I love the red, part of me wanted to go Black since my Track toy is Black, but after seeing Red in person I fell in love

I was torn between Apex Blue and Performance Red, but I went red and I love it. Still puts a smile on my face every time I see it.

but honestly, I think this car looks great in all the colors.

Installed Eibach Springs specifically for the Integra (PART# E10-201-006-01-22; installed by VCD Racing in Montclair California; great guys there) and changed my wheels (Aodhan AFF7 19x8.5 +35 square set up).
