FYI, anyone wanting to swap for the Type R aluminum shift knob, 54102-TGH-G00, will need to get the lock nut that is specific for the Type R as well. That lock nut does not have the black lip that lines up with the thinner base of the stock/titanium shift knob. Otherwise, the shift knob will look like an octopus head atop the Type S lock nut since the Type R knob has a lip incorporated into the base. I personally thought the slimmer titanium shift knob felt better in hand than the more bulbous Type R knob so will just be returning it.

First thing that goes in is probably rear door sill protection. My kid likes to step on every bit of it going in and out. Lol
For what it's worth, I had the illuminated door sills installed for the looks, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it gives my 4-year-old a target for what he has to step over when getting in/out.

In my '23 Integra, he would basically tap dance all over the sill area, which didn't hurt the sill, but wasn't great for the panel gap along the sill.

For the console I went with the Synth Carbon stuff, a few other items weren't in stock or I wasn't sure on yet. Shifter overlay & 4 pc window switch areas. eBay special for the CF hazard lights cover - might prove to have a cheap finish but we'll see. Plus a couple shift knob beanies.

I got both a 40% tint & dark tint front amber cover along with an amber/orange DRL cover, which might prove to be weird looking but I'll experiment with it first before I say nay. They only had this picture of yellow which doesn't look too good.

YeePin console tray & some off brand phone holder to experiment with.

I'm curious if the center console is the exact same as the Civic? This inside, under the console compartment might be handy - if it stays stuck, lol.

I like the Tux Mats (I got them for wife's Durango) - but I also like the black with red stitching FB special that everyone is selling if it has the factory tabs to clip factory mats to. It would be cool to get those to protect the carpet & then pop the Type S all-weathers or sometimes the carpeted ones on top of them & have them locked in place.

& finally, the Diono car seats are on sale! Might pick up the red booster & the $220 special for the little guy.

Is the synth trim real CF or just look-alike?

It's out for delivery today soon will let you know. I was under the impression that the Synth carbon stuff is all real CF overlays, hence the price increase. I will unbox as soon as it arrives.

The eBay stuff looks cheaper even in the photos, so we will see if I end up using them in comparison.

Cool. Would you mind letting me know re: fit, etc., as well? If it's real and fits nicely (no squeaks, rattles, etc.), I'd be interested. That piano black center console trim is gonna look rough in a year or two...

Picking up my car tomorrow. First thing that goes in is probably rear door sill protection. My kid likes to step on every bit of it going in and out. Lol

I think I'll look into intake and a tune within a year. Also engine mount upgrades. Depending on how it rides, I may want some suspension from CTR. But I do want to give some time for more parts to become available.
Are you going with the illuminated OEM kit or did you find an alternative option for rear sills only?

This seems like something I should also consider with a 3 yo and a 6 yo.

I am also eager for a low cost solution vs the illuminated door sil plates for the rear. I could see getting them on clearance some day down the road.
I'd like a sill panel that doesn't require drilling but haven't found one yet.

I told my 4-year-old that he needs to "step allllll the way over the light" and he's no problem clearing the illuminated door sills, and it's stopped him from dawdling around on the sill and stressing the side skirt connection like he did on my A-Spec + Tech.

I don't think you need to drill for the illuminated sill. The front sills have existing holes and the rears use double face tape.
