Tested and working so far, no CELs

Similar to FL5:
Step 1: you turn the car on (engine running) select whatever mode opens your exhaust valve. (I suggest you visually verify it's open).
Step 2: while the car is running you pull the fuse.
Step 3: Store fuse in fuse holder in the lid.
Step 4: enjoy

Notes: if the "engine" selection is not in sport/sport+ mode you will not get any pops or bangs as it seems that is tuning related.

slight variation to what’s noted by OP but seems like it should accomplish the same thing.

I think I’ll do this tomorrow. seems easy enough and a nice little sound improvement.

Did this last weekend. Super easy.

Startup sounds the same across all 3 modes with the fuse pulled (equal to Sport + w. the fuse in place).

Ended up changing it back, as I can get the same result by putting the car in Sport + anyway, and I preferred having options.

Yep. And with a rv6 DP it's louder so comfort mode is welcomed on the highway

The options thing is what I miss. I'm going to probably put it back to normal. I do like however that it is louder without the need to go into the more aggressive tune in sport+ since that it the only way to keep it open. We'll see, still tinkering...

FYI: if you "start" the car without depressing the clutch, it will put it in "accessory mode". You can then switch to Sport +, before actually starting the car (clutch in and press ignition). That way you can get the aggressive start up sound, if you want it.

Thanks, I tried that as well, but I don't necessarily love the rest of the sport mode+ options. I kind of like the tone without all the pops and bangs as well.

My ITS doesn't even have 100 miles on it yet but I feel like I can barely hear the exhaust. Especially with the windows up. I most certainly have yet to hear any pops or bang. I keep the engine in sport + but I haven't taken it over 5k rpm yet for the break in period. Am I doing wrong just not driving hard enough yet? Watching the YouTube reviews granted, I know they wear microphones but you could always clearly hear the exhaust and the pops and banks from the videos.

Has anyone torched the tips yet? I've been wanting to but haven't had time. The diffuser is awfully close, so I'd feel better removing it to do it. Thought about fabbing a heat shield to perform the task, but didn't think I'd get the torch evenly on the top side without removal.

They are already black. Won't that bring the coating off?

Im just talking about the outer stainless section of the tips. It very well could though - I wasn't aware of the coating on the tips. I was also trying to find what material the inner black part was made of - definitely don't want to damage or replace it. It still looks great as is, in my opinion. I've just always wanted that blued titanium look & never followed through on it yet. The gunmetal exhaust with the blueish purple tips were always one of favorites.

So I'm at 3k miles and still not hearing "pops and bangs". I've looked everywhere I possibly can and as far as I understand it, the flap on the exhaust should always be open in Sport+. Can anyone confirm this?.........BECAUSE I'm not seeing mine open. Even with the car warmed up, I am not seeing it open at all. I can only assume that I have a defective valve or something. I'm just trying to get as much knowledge as I can on the exhaust before I call the dealer and sound like an idiot.
