I’m sure the non-race one is perfectly fine. I’ve had an intake with a high flow filter on every car I’ve owned and never had a problems.

I actually went ahead & ordered the orange Sprint filter as well to take a step down from the race version. Will still get an intake eventually but really the oem is a great setup up to about 400hp where I'll be anyway by the weekend, so no huge rush. I don't plan on doing fuel & turbo upgrades for a while where it would be more necessary.

My thoughts are the same. Hondata did release their camshaft upgraded with improved lobes for the direct injection pump giving us a 50% improvement in fuel. This will be interesting to see where it takes us.

Definitely an interesting new setup from them! Did they say it was around $4k altogether though? I guess with all the extra parts, that's fair compared to the basic Hondata fuel upgrade.

Yeah 4k. Cam, direct inject pump, injectors, fuel line upgrade, injectors. It didn't include the in-tank fuel pump upgrade which is odd

I think adding the in tank pump has always been "optional" with their kits. It isn't needed when keeping power under 500whp so most folks probably don't need it. Plus it seems to get pretty mixed reviews. That said, might hit the limit sooner if running straight E85, but given all the downsides to doing so, I don't see that as a very attractive option these days, unless you enjoy filling up every other day...

So true. I get about 3 days currently with our enormous 12 gallon tank.

i'm ordering one now, those whoosh noises are a great distraction from my depression :spaz:

edit: is the filter shared between the FL5 and FK8, or would each require a different part?
