Mine seems responsive running android auto. I did disable all unused apps including the 30 or so language packs that are installed.
1. Do you disable the app or just remove a shortcut from an app to now show on home screen?
2. Where did you go to find language packs?

Under general System theres manage apps or something ( i need to look) anyhow it lists every app on the unit. Top right 3 dots click and select view system apps. From there scroll down and look for the IWIN language packs you don't want and disable. I also disabled acuralink since it serves no purpose on our Type S cars.

AcuraLink on the Type S is the equivalent of your older sibling giving you an unplugged video game controller as a kid so you can "play along" and feel included.
To be honest the only feature I would like is remote start. The rest is just big brother tracking and selling your information... It's in the disclaimer screen that posts everytime you start the car.

I mostly park in a heated garage so don't really care for remote start. For me it would be nice to lock/unlock the doors and open/close the windows (my 2016 GTI had this feature, was nice when it actually worked) and see tire pressures which the A-spec Tech gets. Also would be nice to see the last parked location (Not sure whether the A-spec tech gets this).

The fuel level and mileage is nice but kinda pointless when the app's last refresh is very delayed. Looking at it right now, it shows the status was last updated 2 weeks ago. I drive the car daily and have decent cell reception and can't figure out why it's always so far behind. Seems like it just updates whenever it feels like it.

My keyfob opens and closes the windows. I park outside so remote start will be added sooner than later.

I don't understand how it works either, even when i'm sitting in the fucking car manually updating the app, nothing updates. ODO still says 4000KM in the app and I'm well over 6000 now.

Just installed mine yesterday. I was in the midst of an android auto fit with the car (again) and it reconnected immediately after the update. Here's to hoping that was the last time.
