I went with the MBRP exhaust for my FL5 after trying my best to wait patiently for the Borla system, and after a long exhaust therapist phone call with Humza at @Unity Performance. My first concern was keeping the active valve, second was getting louder without getting too loud. I like the Borla name and the look of their system, but I ultimately felt MBRP offered a very similar tone at a much lower price. I also thought it was nice that the MBRP kit comes with both a straight pipe and a resonator, AND an even larger resonator is available if you want to bring the sound down even further.

I've been extremely pleased with my MBRP system. I installed it myself (rented a lift for a few hours, and had some fun/learned some new things), and used the straight pipe option. I figured I was more likely to crawl under the car to make it quieter, if necessary, but too lazy to get under there to make it louder.
Humza is awesome!!! What you've done has essentially been my plan also, without the lift just bc I have my own homemade hillbilly method. I'm sure it will be more of a pain but, oh well. Lol

Dude's on a different level service-wise. That phone call was probably 45min long, and I'll refer people to Unity to no end now. Great guy!
Yes, he goes above and beyond! Him, Corey Poole, & Michael Hinton have had just incredible service and covers all the aspects of the mods we might be interested in.

Not to derail this Borla thread any further but I installed my MBRP at home also but on a QuickJack. It took about 6 hours all said and done. I struggled mostly with the exhaust hangers. Word of advice, get one of those exhaust hanger tools and use WD-40, it'll make the install a breeze.

The car has been up 4 times. 1. Initial install. 2. Swap in the resonator. 3. Swap OUT the resonator. 4. Final adjustments for rattles and fit.

I haven't had any issues after the 4th time but I may go up a 5th time to try and tuck the rear section away a little bit.

Overall a fantastic sounding system for the price, especially with the resonator thrown in .

this has been well derailed already!

Speaking of, how do you like the quickjack? I'm considering one but it sounds like a PITA to set up for simple things like oil changes. I also don't have a very big garage so I'm unsure as to storage.

If I'm being honest, the QuickJack is absolutely a pain to work with on the Integra. I have the 5000TL and it's too short so I had to get the frame extenders which add height and a lot more weight. It makes maneuvering the thing a pain in the ass.

I'm now considering selling my QuickJack setup and replacing it with one of these scissor style mid lifts.
