Unlikely given that aftermarket head unit does not provide much benefit over the OEM version. The base 11th gen Civic is lacking in comparison to the Type S version.

The non-tech Integra gets the exact same infotainment.

I really think the 10.2" infotainment should be standard, while the Accord 12" infotainment should be the tech package upgrade. I have no idea why a 37k A-spec Tech or 54k ITS is receiving a worse Honda parts bin infotainment than a 34k Accord Sport. It's so much nicer.

I wouldn't try this Chinese after-market version though

theres nothing wrong with the current one. the oem one already has a issue with wireless carplay. im sure the chinese unit will cause more issues.

I don't mean to be negative about this unit but I can only imagine the additional rattles and buzzing you'd get from pulling your whole dash apart for this.

If this unit is anything like the Crutchfield Chinese units I put in my kids Subaru's, I hope there's not as much black screen treachery as they get on theirs. The "reboot" button is used frequently.

What issue have you been seeing with apple carplay?

I've only had mine a year but I haven't seen any issues so far :knock on wood:

Periodically for both android auto and carplay, it will just stop connecting. A reset of the head unit resolves it, but no combination of unpairing and repairing solves it.

That's annoying. I'm hoping I stay lucky.

I already have that issue on my wife's Subaru and it's always at the most annoying times too.

My ITS has been pretty reliable with AA. I have never needed to perform a reset

Same here... sometimes, very rarely, does it need for me to manually connect it, simply by hitting "connect".

Never had to reboot.

wireless apple car play connects seamlessly 90% of the time. If it doesn't connect automatically i would refresh the screen by going into comfort mode and back to normal or the radio. i dont need to charge my phone all the time and sometimes i will plug it in to get car play to work. theres also deadzones on my normal route to work that will disconnect car play.
