That core looks absolutely massive next to the OEM. Did you happen to weigh them?
I forgot to weigh them, but the PRL unit is significantly larger and heavier than the OEM intercooler.

Early morning project. Swapped out the OEM steering wheel in favor of the optional OEM alcantara steering wheel. My last two cars had a suede steering wheel and I’ve really grown attached to the feel.

I’ve swapped many steering wheels, so this was maybe a 20-25 minute installation from beginning to end.

I can't imagine giving up the BW! Did you save much money on the trade?

No biggie on trading in the Blackwing. I've had a shit ton of cars and they come and they go. I enjoyed the Blackwing very much but I just ended up commuting with it back-n-forth to work and then storing it from November to May here in WI. I'm just going to drive the Christ out of the Type-S and not care as much.

I have a FBO MK8 40th Anniversary GTI as my winter car, but I'll probably drive the Type-S as long as the roads are nice up this way.

Created a screensaver in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop this afternoon. I need to adjust the sizing so it spans the entire screen but it turned out alright. I recreated the camo wrap that Acura used for the Type-S mule.

Also purchased a tune from Two-Step Performance…just need to wait til the 15th before I ship my ECM in for the unlock.

Had the ECM jailbroken through TSP/Derek Robinson at InnovativeMotorworks and then flashed with their Stage 1+ tune. Car feels great and definitely scoots.

Currently running the PRL drop-in air filter, PRL intercooler and TSP/IM Tune

Both @Two Step Performance and InnovativeMotorWorks are great businesses to work with. Communication is excellent all around and shipping is very quick.

Also created a few more clock screensavers in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Next up is creating a fix for the wastegate rattle and might as well do a downpipe if I’m in there already.

Installed the Hybrid Racing shifter assembly today. Definitely a worthwhile modification! Installation is right around 30 mins, but add an additional 20 mins just to make sure everything is snapped together and placement of the adjustable shifter is perfect.

It has a fluid mechanical “notchiness” from gear-to-gear and the throws are reduced probably around 50% over stock. The no lift shifting (when tuned) is far easier with this new shifter.

Many like to remove the shift boot and have the shifter assembly be exposed, however I prefer to maintain the OEM look or sleeper look.

Installed the Overland Designs alcantara shifter counsel. Very nice piece and gives the interior more of an upscale look. I also have the OEM alcantara steering wheel…goes together nicely.

Next up, I have some custom Recaro CS seats being made…hopefully have them sometime during winter.

Agree this is a great mod. I would love if they would do the whole center part of the dash. You know, that center part that's glossy gray plastic. I think that would look amazing.

Personally, I added the Civic Type R armrest too. Matches the shift boot and overland console cover. Looks great! Very easy to switch, just a couple phillips head screws.

I agree. I went with a matte carbon fiber overlay in that area, but would’ve gone alcantara had it been offered. Also the upholstered piece directly in front of the passenger would be a good option for alcantara with red stitch…I may send that piece out at some point.
