@Krazydan19, hey, if you like the idea of the Conti's then go for it. Sounds like it may be a non-issue shortly with Apex finally making some adjustments. I'm loving the 275x30 setup and the Conti's.

Also great to keep the stock set-up for winter/ road trips or whatever.

@bigmikevegas

That's great news!!!

Apex is replacing my brushed clear with anthracite wheels, they have the revised knurling to accommodate the Michelins, they are currently in rotation and for sale but they are out of stock for the 19x9.5 +45, service has been ok, they have a sale going on right now so they are pretty busy.

will update with pics when I get the new set on.
Why are you switching colors ? Brush clear just not work for ya ? Good to hear they fixing the knurling. And working with ya

The only color they have in stock…I do like the brushed but it gets dirty in like less than a day with the stock brake pads

Yea I figure it wouldn’t stay clean long was figuring I would coat the hell out of them and maybe just maybe they could be sprayed off easy🤷‍♂️.
I was was wondering why never really saw any images of your set up after that first pic.

I’ve had nothing but issues with the wheels tbh, I’m glad apex is doing me a solid, hopefully I have more success with the new set.

Ceramic didn’t do much for the brushed other than making them easier to clean.

Thanks.
In the end I think it all worked out. I wanted 275 tires anyway, just didn’t want them this quickly. Lol.
I agree though, if you’re going with 19 inch wheels, the 275 width tire is key!!
19” look so much better on this car to me and they are cherry with the eibachs!

Yea kinda what I figured, just crazy to me why wheel company has these issues. Is apex a new new company ?

It’s only an issue because of the way Michelin makes their tires, not apex’s fault, also they are fixing the issue with Michelins and their wheels so they are top notch in my book.

The company can't be that new. They are pretty popular on the track scene, for tons of different cars. The wheels are awesome from a looks/weight perspective. Just got soured because I had to spend another $1500 on tires. Ironically, that's about how much I saved on the rims! Gotta pay to play! LOL.

“Got to pay if you want to play”. Words my pops always say to me. Normally used after getting a speeding ticket. The idea of having to buy another set of tires has me slow playing this purchase.

The new and “revised” knurling are currently in rotation and being made, my shipment will be here next week and I will update when I get them mounted.

Have they shared any details on what's actually different about the knurling? Any pictures of the differences?
