When the exhaust valve on the stock muffler setup is open it allows exhaust to bypass the lateral mufflers and pass through the center exhaust tip which looks to have a small resonator on it. I was wondering if anyone has removed, or if it would be feasible to remove, the small resonator located before the center exhaust tip and replace it with a straight pipe. This should allow the exhaust to have a louder sound when the valve is open but retain the factory Comfort-setting level of quiet when the valve is closed.

I've seen a couple of members have had it removed. Personally I think it sounds bad. Coarse is the best way I can describe it

Yeah, I wondered if maybe it would just make it sound bad. Thanks.

Someone posted about their mid-resonator delete on the Facebook group. Not bad for what it's worth and an alternative to what you are inquiring about.
