Here is how I am doing it in my ITS. I used double sided tape to attach the small remote on the top edge of where the phone charger is. It is somewhat discreet but still very accessible. I programmed my garage door to be the first and largest button so it's easy to push to open and close. Hope this is helpful.

I did the exact same thing! Great minds think alike!

Actually, I was able to go into the AcuraLink app and connect it to my MyQ account. I haven’t taken the car out yet to test it, but it looks like it’ll work well…especially with the Smart Notifications. The downside is that it’s only a 30-day free trial. Then I think it’s $179 for 5 years.

On the other hand, my LiveKey app has been working very well for the last couple of weeks. It’s been working great once I got logged back in to LiveKey, I recreated the shortcuts on iOS.

I’ll consider doing the Merros opener if I encounter any additional issues into next month.
I also connected Acuralink to MyQ. I operated my garage door from my car’s screen. Don’t know if it’s worth the price yet.
I've used the MyQ integration for a couple of 30-day trials on a Tesla I have and it was great. It has an auto open and close feature which was nice. I don't believe that feature is available for the Honda/Acura. I love the functionality, but it's definitely not worth the price.

I'll try it out on the FL5 since it's compatible with HondaLink just to use the 30-day trial. It would be nice if the license applied to a few vehicles as opposed to one. I suspect the price will drop substantially once they realize the take up rate is low. There's no reason this service should cost as much as it does. It should be as cheap as satellite radio is when you squeeze them for the discounts - $3-$5 per month. What's also annoying is if you purchase the long(er) term plans to realize the big discounts, you will not receive a refund on a pro rata basis if you cancel. I'm completely fine using the clicker.

EDIT: I stand corrected. I was just looking at the details and perhaps this is a new wrinkle as I haven't checked on the details of the program in over a year. When used with a Tesla, you can link it to as many vehicles as you want. With Honda/Acura it appears you can only link it to two cars total.

When I go to Manage Features, all I see is Vehicle Data Sharing On/Off. Nothing else on that page. Could this be different for Type S?
Ok, it wasn’t there yesterday but it showed up today so got it all setup with the 30 day trial. Seems to work well so far.

Edit 10/5/23: well, after 1 day of trialing this myQ integration I've concluded that it sucks. The response is really slow if it occurs at all. I'm back to my clicker remote for the garage. Oh well !

I have the myQ, but rather than paying, i just paired my apple watch and either use siri or the watch to open/close.

Just installed the Accord mirror with the harness. Overall wasn't bad, but I've done this for multiple cars so I'm familiar. I would rate it 4.5/10 for difficulty. Was a bit harder for me since I have the FitcamX installed and the cables got in the way. Definitely worth. One small difference is that the Accord mirror sits higher than the OE mirror, so the bottom of the base is a lot more visible now.

Any issues with the mirror location? I'm about 90% sure I want to go this route.

I’ve done this as well and have no location issues with the Accord mirror. The base does show just a bit more but for me it’s hardly noticeable and now I don’t even pay attention to it.

Hondapro Jason had a short clip about home link missing on newer Honda's. Looks like they are forcing you to use MyQ compatible garage opener and then the Honda Service to access it.

This was a huge hit to me when I realized the ITS didn't have it. My 98 Eclipse had this feature on it! Why did Acura decide to do this? I can use the garage door opener, but it is ugly and ridiculous when you have someone get in the car and they notice your garage door opener. My 2018 & 2019 RS3 also had the same no Homelink. Wonder why some car companies are doing this? Is it really that hard to integrate into the vehicle?

They are moving to subscription based services.

Found a solution with the overpriced Homelink button "cartridge" that is 100% reversible if I change my mind or battery needs changing. Unit is snug up against the back wall of the charging area so pushing the buttons doesn't move it. It is attached with 3M Dual Lock. Doesn't interfere with phone charging at all. Looks better than a stupid garage door remote clipped to the visor:

I located a crashed 2023 Civic Touring at LKQ and got that Mirror with Homelink for $125 in excellent like new condition. As previously noted in this thread, this is Honda part# : 76400-T20-A11 and uses the exact same plug and the same stem length/angle as the Integra's.

I didn't care for frameless and I didn't want the Accord version [part# 08V03-3A0-100] as it sits further out and higher up revealing part of the plastic trim behind it. I will say, that if buying new, for whatever reason the Civics HomeLink mirror is a heck of lot more expensive that the Accords.

To be honest, the frameless has more of a silver non-reflective trim which is the same thickness as the Civics black frame. I mean it isn't as thick as older Gentex mirrors [which my Nissan truck has, now that's a thick frame!]. So to my eyes the difference between the Integra Frameless and Civics Framed mirror is not that noticeable since decennially speaking the mirror is the same.

I didn't have any pin jumper wires, but was comfortable in cutting, splicing, and soldering.

I removed the tape until it reached the white section and then cut the yellow homelink wire (this wire is missing from the actual Integra's harness). Using a razer blade, I carefully stripped away the red wire insulator (red is for the dimmer) to reveal the bare wire. I stripped the mirrors end of the yellow and soldered it to the red wire. Wrapped electrical tape around that, then wrapped some insulator electrical tape i had laying around so that it looks as if the stock harness was never touched.

Powers when Acc mode, turns off when the car is off (just how I want it in the event I need to park the car outside overnight)

[FYI in the last picture I have the Garmin Mini 2 dashcam which hides nicely behind the mirror. I do NOT have this wired to the mirror, I ran new fused wiring for that to the fuse box]

This^ , its where the money is at. I bet we will start to see more manufactures do the same thing and possibly other options. I remember when BMW tossed around the idea of subscription based CarPlay and heated seats I think.

Unfortunately, I think you're right and this is the worst thing to happen to the auto industry since the dial shifter...
