Talked to the HRC rep today, he said it’ll be about a year out for parts to become available. He also said what you see on the demo car should be available. Or Seibon had some nice carbon fiber parts as well.

I didn't realize that front lip was carbon. Id be happy with gloss plastic. I still want it though.

Chinesium clones should be available in 3-6 weeks 😁

A year is too damn long.

Now I get to see if I can hold out until at least more details emerge for these HRC coilovers, or if I just cave and get Ohlins. They've got about 6 months.

Go with the Ohlins. You’d be pressed to find a better alternative if your main focus is motorsports. I anticipate the HRC offerings will be of the same level of quality but significantly more expensive.

I see no fault in your logic. There's already plenty of evidence that the R&T would be pretty much perfect for my use case.

I just wanted the details before I made a purchase, just in case there was a significant advantage like they maintained the adaptive system somehow or something like that. Not expecting that, I just like knowing as many details of all the options available. But to your point, it doesn't seem like you can go wrong with the Ohlins R&T, assuming you want a coilover setup in the first place.

Adjustable dampers on all 4 corners and adjustable camber plates according to Rati’s Rides. He also talks about the price. The parts are an extra 20-25k total. Also, I heard Trofeo R’s only last 8K miles not counting track days. Yikes, these cars are hidden money pits, I thought I could take it straight to the track as is when I bought it. Hopefully the 6 piston brakes come with upgraded brake pads. That’s first on my list of parts.

You can take it to the track stock (although pads / fluids are recommended).

The bulk of the cost for these parts is going to be sunk on CF tax, not necessarily strict functionality.

Chances are -- based on what we've heard so far -- your $ is best spent on the coils, oil coolers, intercooler and brakes. I doubt that goes too far beyond $10k.

Interesting. I like Raiti but... I think I'll wait for a press release before getting too excited.

As for "I thought I could take it straight to the track", assuming you mean the standard ITS as it comes from the factory, you absolutely can. And for a novice, arguably you can just stop right there- you wouldn't have to upgrade a single thing on the car to have a blast all day long at an HPDE, multiple times. There has been plenty of evidence of this since the first track reviews last summer. Just because these parts exist doesn't change that in the slightest.

But what some people who are considering getting into track driving apparently may not realize, is that yes- "money pit" is an appropriate label. There are varying degrees of track driving. If you're just starting out, typically you won't be pushing the car very close to its limits and the tires and brakes will hold up extremely well. However, an experienced driver could easily wear through a set of Michelin PS4S in a day, and boil the OEM brake fluid.

Personally, I'm getting to the point of approaching the upper tiers of "intermediate" as a driver, and while I won't say I'm absolutely extracting the utmost potential out of the car as it came factory, I can sense its limits. I don't need any of these parts, but I'm the target demographic, undoubtedly.

And by design, these parts don't come cheap, and particularly the wear items like tires do not last forever. Trofeo R is about as close to a slick as you can get in a street tire. If they made it to 8k miles I'd be impressed. Again, that's nothing new for that class of performance tire.

As for the brakes, there are also various degrees of pad material. There are tons of discussions around this online; I think there are at least a couple in the FL5 forum. Most of these discussions break down to personal preference. My guess is these HRC brakes will come with a "hybrid" type of pad that's probably fairly aggressive for the street but still not a dedicated race pad- not sure if you've ever heard a race pad before, they are annoyingly loud- or if they're thinking ahead, you'll be able to choose from some options. In any case, the stock brakes can hold up on track pretty damn well, so any sort of "upgrade" should be adequate for 90% of people, including most "track rats"; especially considering half of the "upgrade" for brakes is fluid, which will need to be replaced during the install anyway.

The thing is, many folks who do not even plan to take their car to a track are also heavily interested in these parts. This is nothing new; it's been happening since at least 2001. For those folks, flexing with a set of Trofeo R's and $8k coilovers is worth it to them to pull up hard af to their local cars and coffee. That's fine with me! In fact, I hope HRC sells a shit ton of these parts (but hopefully can still keep up with availability for those who what to actually use them...). But what's extra appealing to me about these HRC parts above even a top-tier aftermarket vendor like Ohlins is that there is some actual real-world racing engineering that's gone into them- at least that's what I'm seeing coming out of all the preview discussions and assuming they're not just going off on a completely different "street" tangent- AND they're as close to an OEM as possible.

I'm curious how and if that indy yellow color will be available. Perhaps it will be added to the line-up for 2026, or will it only be available as an OEM/aftermarket option from HRC...

Would be cool if they do a PMC x HRC edition... limited colors, full HRC kit, assembled by PMC.

Yeah. This would make sense since the TLX PMC did include factory optioned components.
