Hondata Flashpro for fl5 work with de5

Yeah they made the flashpro for DE5 a different sku. I recall hearing the fl5 flashpro doesn't work on DE5

It’s crazy that Hondata would do that. The type r and type s use the same components.

At release you could use the CTR device on the DE5 no problem. Then Hondata decided to start selling a separate SKU and disabled that option. This has caused many owners quite a headache.

Do you think if contacting Hondata to somehow change the license will work. It seems possible but I’m not sure if it can be done over the air(online) or it need to be send back to their warehouse

No I don't think they will do that. Hondata is pretty rigid when it comes to their policies.

would the older fk8 flash pro work or did Hondata program flash pro manager to not accept it as well with recent updates? I’m sure they probably did since like you said different sku will be detected

yeah my flashpro serial has ITS in it. Sucks they aren't cross compatible
