How to remove part of dash to get to bar behind Apillar ( Please Help )

So I’m sure many have you seen my previous post regarding me being plagued with a rattle . I have been trying to figure it out every weekend with no luck taking various things apart . A glimpse of hope possibly was spotted today but I have no clue how to get to it . Upon taking off the a pillar there is hole I circled in red . In that hole is a white metal painted bar I can see touching up against some other line with the white paint being removed from rubbing . I can’t get a picture as it’s dark and I only spotted this with a flash light . Does anyone know what it is or what I am talking about ? Any easy way to get to that metal bar and maybe bend it away ?
