Gotcha… also understood that, for the price, many may be put off by having to further mod the intake to reflect the application.
Was the part you mentioned earlier about the insulation tube and drilling holes about the gasket material circled in orange in the OP? Because I was unclear if there were additional fitment issues.
The rubber insulation that surrounds the mouth of the intake box. It could of been installed in reverse by mistake therefore the holes and clips not lining up properly. Just an observation ........

Interesting on the fitment issues... the guys on the Tegiwa channel mentioned something about the installation near that corner but they were working with a pre-production prototype. I wonder if it's a "cure is worse than the disease" situation?

I'm starting to get just a little annoyed with my purchase. I placed the order almost exactly a month ago and have gotten absolute crickets since then... it did mention that the expected delivery timeframe is 4-6 weeks but my patience is already wearing thin. That's a ton of time for buyer's remorse to set in.

That said, I just don't want a PRL. Everyone seems to be going that direction, to me it looks actually worse than OEM- it's just not exciting, to me. For anyone who argues that "you could just get the PRL for 1/3 of the price", you have to accept my logic of not being excited about something makes it not worth it even at 1/3 of the price.

Curious to get some feedback on "driving impressions" e.g., noise, noticeable power delivery gains, etc.

@optronix I bought the Infinity Design intake specifically because of the smooth cone design (where the MAF goes) after the air filter. The Infinity Design one looked better designed and smoother than the other options.

What about a matte carbon PRL HVI at 2/3 of the price? :p

I went out for a drive this weekend and got a chance to push the intake. It was pretty cold here in the east coast and I drove in the morning so it was probably around 50s.

Both the increase in sound and power was noticeable for me. I previously had a K&N filter and I could barely hear the intake and bov but with the new intake, the intake and bov was significantly louder. I am very satisfied with how the car sounds now.

Power and specifically torque has noticeably increased for me. I was spinning out in second gear at full throttle around 5k rpm. The temperature was pretty chilly so I'm sure that didn't help with traction. It didn't feel like the car was any more responsive than before though.

I also forgot to give an update on my intake. I bought rubber spacers to protect the carbon fiber. I also cut off the plastic clip (orange circle in the original picture) and placed double sided tape like Doskiller suggested and now the seal is flush with no gap.

My final verdict is a 9 out of 10. I wish the inside of the intake had been better finished and that everything had fit perfectly but the sound and power makes up for its shortcomings. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.
