Intakes for type s

I question taking it out every time I drive and I cancelled my car’s trip to the Sahara desert.

No, I understand it is less restrictive; and thus, more shit comes in. However, my car is sitting in the garage bc I didn’t get winter tires on the other set of rims. In regards to mice, I’m an expert on that as I’m in a battle to keep them out of my 04 RSX Type-S. I spray every month with peppermint oil and bought these ultrasonic things that I put underneath the sub in the trunk and in the engine bay. Mice keep getting into the car and it’s scary as fuck.

I’ve learned peppermint oil is best for rodents as well. Might have to give everything a good wipe down first & use a rag to rub some of the oil in certain areas to get it to stick better. Anytime I’m done doing anything under the car is also a great time to spray everything pretty heavy down there since they usually travel up from somewhere.

Eventuri or Gruppe M... guess it depends if Eventuri can finally get theirs to market before I'm ready to spend $1200, they've teased it since November.

Lots of folks may scoff at $1200, but try owning a Porsche for a while. A $1200 intake is hilariously inexpensive when an inconel full exhaust will run you $11k (including headers but you get the point...).

I felt the same way when people were complaining how expensive Acura accessories are, it's a tiny fraction of the German options, haha. I am leaning towards Eventuri since you can pair it with their inlet tube and am not partial to the red on the Gruppe M. Would be nice if PRL actually gets their act together to release the HVI. The one thing I liked about the HVI is it had the option for a race MAF. Don't want to drop all that money on the Eventuri then have tuning issues down the road.

That intake sounds so good. I always wonder why they didn’t design a lid option for it or something. Maybe clearance. I wish the 27won 1.5 intake design they are working on would cross over to the 2.0.

The belief is that you will need an enclosure for turbo engines to reduce heat soak. That is why I am currently using the drop-in filter from PRL and am waiting for the PRL HVI version.

Do you notice any heat soak with just street driving ? or any performance gain ?

No heat soak. Sweet induction and turbo noise along with harder pulls.
