Interior size and storage space - TLX Vs Integra

Hello, new poster here. Seriously considering an Integra Type S. I briefly sat in both the TLX and Integra Type S at a dealership today (they wouldn't let me test drive it if i didn't agree to buy it with a $10K markup) . I noticed that the TLX does not have much if any more noticable cargo room in the trunk /hatch and also in the rear passenger compartment. I have two young kids so rear seats are important but not the deciding factor. I do alot of box store runs though. Are my eyes deceiving me?

Numbers don't lie. The only additional space you gain in a tlx is hip/shoulder and you lose almost everywhere else. Noticeably in the areas you're concerned with.

this is exactly how i interpreted these numbers. but i was wondering if they did calculations differently since it's a hatch vs sedan? I would be letting go of my 08 TSX 6MT and the Integra looks almost identical in size to it.

I test drove an 08 tsx 6mt back in 2015 so there's definitely some memory fog but the integra feels much bigger inside to me. Both of my kids are in booster seats and I'm over 6 ft of leg. With the driver seat all the way back as I drive, there's no issue with either child riding behind me. A rear facing car seat would be more difficult but I've been impressed since the beginning with the integra's interior space.

The TLX feels much bigger until you leave the driver's seat.

The ITS is much more passenger-friendly. If your kids (like most) continue growing, you'll probably be glad you've got plenty of legroom to work with. You've also got more cargo space in the ITS' hatch.

Granted, the TLX can accommodate a 3rd passenger in the back whereas the ITS is only designed for 2, but I'd rather have 2 reasonably happy passengers than 3 who are overly cramped.

I just had a TLx loaner and the back seats have less legroom than the Integra. TLX interior is leaps and bounds better but it weighs 1000lbs more. Test drive both and see what ya like

Is anything else leaps and bounds better? I'm really hung up on wanting the 6mt. I was hoping the tlx would be bigger but it isn't. I already had a similar non manual vehicle (is350).

Driving experience is not as fun, had the 2.0L and not the TypeS TLX. Sound is lacking since I'm spoiled with my ITS exhaust. Sound system isn't as good, felt like all the bass was only coming from door speakers. TLX has vented seats, needed it since the seats don't seem to breath as well as the ITS.
Highway cruiser TLX wins since you feel insulated from the road. I couldn't wait to get my ITS back. Now riding on 275/30/19 contis.

I'm about 50/50 City / Highway. Cross shopping a New ITS, or used F30 340i 6MT, or Porsche Cayenne ( I either need to replace my TSX or RX). I'm much more comfortable with Honda and Toyota vehicles then the germans and went away from the dealership liking what i saw with the ITS.

Nearby in Montco. I had an 07 TSX 6MT that I loved, and my 23 Integra A Spec 6MT feels very similar in space and performance. I'm sure the Type S will feel even better.
I had a loaner TLX for one of my services and it definitely feels more cramped. I never considered it due to the lack of manual.
I looked for a F30 340i 6MT but couldn't find one, and thought the new M3 would be overkill on our roads.

I've had 2 TLXs as loaner cars and both my wife and I agree that they feel noticeable more cramped inside compared to the Integra. The TLX interior uses space very inefficiently in my opinion.

I've had a rear facing car seat in the Integra for 10 months now and there's plenty of space for it, more than in the TLX. The TLX felt cramped with the same seat.

The only problem the Integra has with a rear facing car seat is the low fast back roof profile, which makes getting a baby in through the door a little more difficult. Not at first, but more so as they get bigger.
